    Update,

The nice guy on ebay sells some sort of relay kit, which he says cures all sorts of ailments for whirpool fridge/freezers, might be worth a try for some of your probs, also theres a brand new icemaker up for grabs, but not for this model

Just to let all know my beast is working better than ever, wish I had found this forum years ago.

    Re: Whirlpool PCB or NOT

Hello read my post Starting S20RBBB, athough not the same model, I changed all the capactors and this fixed everything, then fixed the diffuser unit and now all is ok, if your freezers working ok then why not have a go, may save you pounds, everything you need to know is in the big post on this page but its 47 pages and takes forever to read through but I bet you answers are there.
how my model works is at the back of the freezer unit is a cover and behind this is a small fan which blows air from the freezer bit into the top of the fridge by ducting and a diffuser unit in the top of the fridge, if this diffuser unit is not fully open then the cold air cant get through and the fridge stays warm, so may be worth a look, good luck Leonips

Update, Fridge not cold enough? Freezer ok. this model only, inside freezer at top back right into roof remove 2 screws and remove cover, now remove plastic vent pipe which feeds into fridge, friction fit, you will now discover the 4 ends which lock the diffuser in the fridge top in place squeeze the pins to release.
Health Safety now remove mains plug!!!!
Now go into fridge, top left, remove vent cover, 1 screw, release feed cable by unclipping plug, now remove diffuser with motor.
    Now comes the exciting part.
With a sharp knife, make sure you have adult supervision, look at polystyrene case and you will see it is glued with silicon all round, cut carefully along the joint and release the 2 halves. you will now have to squeeze the 4 locking pins to release the motor from the diffuser. with any luck the slide mechanism has broken and the part broken off is still there, mine was, slide out the diffuser and fix, I used superglue from the 99p shop (3 tubes a bargain). left it a couple of hours, sanded of the excess glue, reassemble and make sure it slides back and forth freely, reassemble motor. then replace polystyrene case with a little silicon and the reassemble everything back into fridge. and then freezer.
replace mains plug and wait, 1 hour later, my fridge 4.2 C freezer – 18c

Job done award your self a beer.

Of course this fix only works if everything else is ok, but as you see from my 1st post I already had all the problems which come up here all the time, and I have over the years made my contribution to the whirlpool service dept.

FYI. theres a nice guy who sells circuit boards repair kits on Ebay he also sells this diffuser (slider blind). Or you can buy the whole item complete with motor as a spare part if you have lots of cash to spare.
Good luck I hope it works for you.
