    once again thanks for reply…
    Ive sourced what i hope to be a suitlable replacement off europart..
    I put in the original part number and they came up with 34-wp-10 as a suitable replacement only their picture lists it at 247mm and doesnt list the wattage (2050) as the original is, yet the original off connect lists it at 240mm…. im just hoping europart is measuring it end to end and connect from the fixing plate then this would seem correct.
    Anyone ever used 34-wp-10 and is it correct?
    Hopefully it is as its a lot cheaper off europart.
    Im also surprized a failed element didnt trip the customers consumer unit… modern house modern fuse box…. am also wondering if it may of damaged the board / pcb… never checked that but will do before i fit a new element.

    The one we could all do with would have a special feature none of you have yet mentioned..
    We need one that alerts u as soon as u input the post code.. lets u know if the client is home or not!

    would save me a lot of trouble and fuel.

    hey mike.. thx for respose, we are talking the same source? i.e connect distribution? its just i have a different price than what your suggesting from the same source.

    thanks for 2 very quick responses..however i have a account with connections and this is were i sourced it from yet im getting a price of £46.49 + VAT and p+p

    qualtex want 36.46 for it + vat and p&p but NIL stock.

    they do seem rather pricey!

    your whirlpool guy is spot on in my personal experience with this fault.
    Ive repaired hundreds with this exact same problem.
