There was a thing on Jeremy Vine some time back about glass tables shattering rather explosively randomly, if I remember it comes do tension in the glass and minuscule imperfections.

Search Goole for random exploding glass, lots of stuff.

Perhaps It’s just down to this, glass can inherently just shatter.

What’s the door seal like. Iv had customers complain of black smoke and traced it to the seal rubbing on the tank. As for the dispenser as has been said got to be steam or boiling water.

Can’t see it being any form of chemical reaction but you never know with detergents these days.

The modern Arcadia boards don’t give a fault code on the option keys. The Progress LEDS show the fault with a solid led.
So the options will flash and one or more of the progress ones should be lit up

The fault codes run from bottom to top including the door lock, the top led is not included.

Led 1 is the door lock
    Led 2 End
    Led 3 drier
    Led 4 Spin
    Led 5 fill.

    Basic faults are

F01 LED 1 (door lock Led)
    F02 LED 2
    F03 LED 1+2
    F04 LED 3
    F05 LED 1 + 3
    F06 led 2+3
    F07 led 1+2+3
    F08 led 4
    F13 LED 1+3+4

    Normal Indesit fault description apply.

My money is on F13 the drier thermistor. They are common. A new design one is available. White rather than black to signify the difference.

Re: ok need help with this one guys-Dishwasher problem, hotp

Basically if you got no heat and you’ve changed the heater and checked the wireing then it’s 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} the board on these.they are prone to he’s issues, check the temp sensor it in the slot next to the dispenser inside the door.

If you sticker on a standard or fast wash and open the door after 15 minutes you should be able to fell good heat by that point. Feel the water temp.

If you find the water is hot it could be the impeller snapped on the wash pump, it will sound a bit different than normal but its not always noticeable. Only the water in the heater heats up and it won’t wash rite.

    Likely board though.

    Re: More shattering news!

Iv only ever change 2 glasses. The first the customer dropped a cup on it. The second was on a 3 day old washer drier, went through a number of washes fine but 30 minutes into the first dry the glass went. It did go like a bomb going off according to the customer but as there was a second heat shielding in front of the glass it only went into the tank Can only assume there was a Small air bubble in the glass and when it expanded bang.

    Re: H/Point VTD00 T/Drier – vibration after drum shaft kit f

Check the motor bearings. Seeing a lot of these go noisy at the moment. Often after new belt or bearings due to the increase in pressure on the shaft.

Done one yesterday for the same issue.

You could try a spray if bike chain lube in the bearings can make them sound better. I use bike chain lube as it sprays as a thin oil then goes very stiff like grease.

Does the door actually lock when the light is flashing or does it stay unlocked ?

If the door locks but the light flashes or does not illuminate then its a motor related issue, Motor/brushes/Motor Harness

However if the does does not lock then door lock/ board/ door harness

A few basic checks on a DW can make a massive difference

Remove your spray arms and check the spray holes for blockages, clean and refit.

Note , when removing the bottom arm make sure you don’t undo the whole support. This is the pipe that the nut that hold e spray is attached to. The arm its self just detaches by turningmthe nut and you should have no pipe atached to it. its also Worth checking this support is tight when refitting as if its loose water will leave into the base of the DW.

On the Indesit evo 2 &3 models where the top basket goes in at the back there is a round nut with a rubber gasket in. the middle, it should have a nice round hole in the centre to seal the pipe for the top wash arm. Check to see if its torn. These normally go every few years and can easily be replaced

Clean the filters, the round mesh one can hold grease even when it looks clean, poor boiling water through it and gently clean with a brush and some washing up liquid.

    Just some basic checks.

A DW does a dirty job and need some attention it self from time to time.
