So you could use that hole to remove something stuck in the drum. Not ideal but posible. Dosnt solve the bearing problems though

    Re: Old Creda needs replacing

And I value the advice. But When I replace the Creda It will be for a machine under £250 and by the looks of it a Beko, if it turns out they have sealed tubs aswell then I might go for anything posably even a Servis 😯 . Unfortunatly When your on a budget you have to go for cheep products and hope for the best or fix them your self if you are able. I would never have got a PC if I couldnt have built it my self, I would never have a car if I couldnt repair & service it my self. We would be without many things if I couldnt bodge and tinker with them. I might even pay £110 for new parts on the Creda and keep it going.

Tell me one thing, Are these tubs compleatly sealed? how is the heater fitted?

And I understan and dont expect a Cheep £200-£250 machine to last a lifetime but I and many people cant afford to spend £400 on a machine in the first place, but making a sealed unit is only going to make matters worse.

    Re: Sealed tub or not

No the old compact is still going strong used a few times a year to clean the fish pond filters. Its the old Creda W120FW thats on its way out and I dont want a replacemet with a sealed tub. What stupid F@#ker introduced them for gods sake 😡

    Re: Old Creda needs replacing

Ok so anything above a 6kg load is a no no then in reality.

However compared to our old machine a 5kg load this one a 5.5kg is miles better. I’m in 2 minds.do I replace the supeshion to stop it banging and fit a new motor to stop the chatering of the bearing rarther than replace the machine? cost would be £110 but then it is about 8 years old and compared to new machines it cant be that economical to run.

Regarding that artical. dose that mean the wash performance ratings on new machines are no good?
