    Thanks for the reply.

I shall try a new fuse in it and hopefully that will do the trick. I think the microwave might have shorted out because I was warming plates in it, but I did put a small bowl of water in at the same time.

Thanks for the quick reply. Sounds like this will be one for the engineer, but will try what you suggested first.

Thanks for the advice, will go for a stainless steel Panasonic then.
I have noticed that the more expensive models have done away with the rotating plate, do they work as well?

I have narrowed it down to the following:
    http://www.panasonic.com/uk/consumer/home-appliances/microwaves/combination-microwaves/nn-ds596b.html
    https://www.panasonic.com/uk/consumer/home-appliances/microwaves/microwave-only/nn-sd261mbpq.html
    http://www.panasonic.com/uk/consumer/home-appliances/microwaves/microwave-only/nn-sd26hmbpq.html
    http://www.panasonic.com/uk/consumer/home-appliances/microwaves/microwave-only/nn-sf464mbpq.html

I imagine the performance will be similar whichever I choose.

    Re: New microwave help

    Hi,

As things are a bit quiet on the responses, perhaps getting another Panasonic sounds like the best option as I need a replacement soon. There are so many models, does anyone have any recommendations?

    Thanks

Re: Miele red light drain error problem

Thanks for that, I will try what you suggested. If there isn’t any water on the floor are there any other things to try?

There is sitting water in the bottom of the machine in the filter basket area, should that be empty? When I took off the non return valve to check the impeller, a fair bit of water spurted out.

Wonder why it worked initially and then stopped on the second run. If there is a leak, is it curable?

    Re: Problem removing Miele dishwasher

I will try WD40 first and see if it does the trick, otherwise will try the hairdryer approach and cross my fingers and toes.

    Thanks for the advice.

    Re: Problem removing Miele dishwasher

Thanks for the reply, have tried both ways but I am wondering as it has been there for 10 years if it is stuck firm. Is it definitely anti-clockwise to loosen it? Also would spraying something like WD40 on it have any benefits?

    Cheers

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated. I will cross my fingers and turn it back on tomorrow to test it.

If it fails would a Liebherr be a better option then going for another Bosch as I hear that they are not as good as they once were?

Re: Liebherr Fridge Freezer Temperature Issue

Hi, Sorry for the late reply.

    The service number is 0908976-00.

Not really sure how long the door on the freezer was open for but it is possible that it was left overnight.

So would it be a good idea to defrost it first?

    Thanks

    Re: Siemens fridge thermostat wiring

Unfortunately I think the previous thermostat was not an official part and didn’t have any markings that I can recall. I did do a diagram of the wires which was blue on left, brown on right and black underneath the two above.

    Re: Indesit IS70c Sqeaking Drum

Thanks, I will go for a Bosch machine. Is there any particular models that are better than others?

Yes I did read that there were issues with some Beko machines but assumed that the problems had been ironed out by now.

    Re: Indesit IS70c Sqeaking Drum

    Thanks for the reply.

Could anyone please recommend a good quality replacement dryer in case I’m unable to repair the old one myself?

I have read some positive reviews of the Beko DCU7230, but don’t really know what to look for.

    Cheers

    Re: Indesit IS70c Sqeaking Drum

Great, would it be best to replace the wheels first and if it still squeaks do the bearing too?

Could anyone please advise on a brief guide to replacing the wheels with this particular machine?

    Thanks

Re: ISE W256W some clothes are shrinking at 40 degrees

The machine is attached to the blue cold tap. I think that if there was a hot water feed into the machine the nearby boiler would have kicked in.

Just doing a synthetic wash now, fingers crossed none of the jumpers shrink.
