No will do that but would that stop it from filling as these fill once, pause then carry on filling and begin to agitate. This only does one fill then dead

good point would that make the stat pop though? I presume hot water running through pipe for a lot longer than norm/

I would shorten the pressure pipe slightly and make sure the hoses running from and to the motor are clear and any others for a good water flow and maybe order new stat as it may be over sensitive.

Re: Hotpoint DF53 heater toc problem.

    Hi
Have had this before a while ago. It could be the pressure pipe partially blocked. If there is not quite enough water flowing past the stat it tends to ‘pop’. I also believe there was a mod. If it’s the type where the pressure pipe loops up at the side you can shorten it slightly and that may cure it.
    Hope this helps

check pipe behind front kickplate at bottom, disconnect it and ensure water is coming thru. There are two of them. If this is ok will need a new freezer door, pipe freezes up inside probably due to not enough insulation between pipe and cabinet. done a few now

I had one similar and one that would miss the main spin completely. Just check the brushes in the motor. I have had this even though the motor ran ok, a poor contact upsets the brain so to speak

Thats all well and good when you can afford to bear that outlay but some may go to the wall because of it and it is a bit of a worry. So is it worth travelling 200 miles for this meeting or will the outcome be the same wether you do or not?

    Re: GB DAR

    yes me too.

The situation is a bit different for you as they owe you more than
£5000. will try to find out more from a business accountant of mine who is looking into things for me. Also all correspondence from them seems not to come from a proffesional/accountant type person

    Re: GB DAR

yes they are still solvent so hopefully money should be forth coming, but
don’t pin all your hopes on it. As for doing it by post it may end up going to a small claims court, and as we are low on the list of creditors i think this will be pretty ineffective. It may help to know who’s there and who’s owed what and whats happened to all their assets etc, and how many bigger players there are.

    Re: GB DAR

hi guys, yes it does depend how much you owe but been told if you dont go you wont get a bean. also you can find out from others whats owed and wether there are a lot of secured creditors as well as us unsecured ones. heve been told they will try to fob us off with what they cant give us. We need to know who the administers are, assetts owned, loans etc and not to agree on much and any offers of recompense to be in writing. Mind you it all gets complicated if your owed more than £5000. (luckily which I’m not) so I’ll be there to see what the score is.

You can use other Zanussi type motors just make sure the wiring is correct and you may have to change the connector
