ParticipantI take it the banging fault only occurs when using the ‘microwave’ side of the appliance, in which case must be a fault on the high voltage side. Possibly the transformer not having a consistent output or else faulty capacitor. Mark

Participantif you dont have to work for gbdar then dont.My wife has spent the last 7 months trying to get payment back. They charged us full price for parts which we had either sent back or my wife had invoiced them for, thank god she had filed all credit notes and invoices (even though this has amounted to nearly a week of her time sorting this out in total) and it was their error. In the end she threatend them with court action which was met with ‘whatever thats your choice’ from Garry Anderson, who even though he is a md was not accepting responsability. Then they tried to deny that they owed us any money. But in the end they gave in, but still waiting for the cheque. By the way the amount was over £700.00 and when you are a small company thats a lot of money. So think very carefully about your new venture.

ParticipantYou also have to bear in mind that Hotpont will not always honour the warranty if the customer has not filled in the registration form when the product was initially purchased

ParticipantHi not specific info for that model but if its a frost free then could be the fan in the freezer. Also fridge thermostat would control freezer temp. If fridge not cool enough fridge thermostat would not operate. Depending on age/use compressor may not be pumpig.
