ParticipantRe: Loadster gas T/D bitten more than I cld chew
Yes it is old and does have a pilot light. I’m pretty sure the electrics are ok but I will double check tomorrow, then pass it over to the corgi guy.
Thanks for that EddieMark 🙂

ParticipantRe: Kuppersbusch EEBM691 BX-GB oven
I’ve emailed Dave a pic but that took me an age. The connect element ele 4273 is not quite right. The arms need to be next to each other before they branch out to the support bracket. Thanks K. for the info if poss could you get craig to pm me with a part no and I might have to chance that its ok. If there was no mesh filter I could fit the connect part and probably a few others 🙂

I’ll take a pic and email to you Dave thanks. I actually repaired a Teka washer and that had a hoover drain pump on it. I’ll also look at that connect jobbie. Does that mesh filter have to be there?. I’m not sure what it does, maybe protect the element from microwaves or am I missing the obvious.

ParticipantRe: Haier D/W pump motor
Thanks for the info Dave. Managed to talk to Soveriegn today (they import these from China apparantly). There are only 3 types of motor for this range of machine. I should get a part no for this motor (3 wire) tomorrow. The man at Soveriegn is getting all 3 motors in front of him and physically check the wiring before sending it to me. Apparantly the manufacturer has been known to change the spec but not the part no’s and not tell anybody. I’m sure by the time I manage to repair this the cx will have moved on to another machine. 🙄
Cheers

ParticipantAccording to the packaging it is a 0124000051. Physically it is identical apart from this wiring. The rating plate on the side do have a slightly different no on each. The old one has YXW 75-2B, the new one YXW 60-2. I presume this relates to the wattage as they are 75w & 60w respectively. Could I have a different series of motor maybe in the wrong box?

ParticipantRe: indesit DI67 d/w
Sometimes these boards will power the heaters etc with live and neutral going through them and only one side of the power supply will go down thus giving live to the heater but no neutral.

You may find that that the relay in the module switches on the neutral side and this would account for power at the heater, or you may be gettig a false reading from the heater

ParticipantRe: Corgi registration.
I went to a corgi assessment/registration college for info about becoming registered and according to the assessor, as I had worked on gas products before (all be it many moons ago) If I sent in what experience I had and for how long, I may have been able to do a short course. It did seem to be up to him on wether I did this or not. Just a thought.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint D/W strange leak
Just thought I’d let you know I fitted a new spray arm and it works a treat. Not that I can see anything wrong with the old one. 😮

ParticipantRe: Refrigeration gas
Good point I do have an old bottle of R12 which is pretty low on gas and if I remember I used to top it up by freezing the bottle. Then I just need to find whom to dispose to.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint DWF50 heater
Is this the one with the timer at the base similar to the DWF53, if so heater should be at the front on the R/H side at the bottom

ParticipantPossible pcb problem, however I recently had one similar, door locked but not able to start machine. Tuned out to be the motor. Insufficient insulation on windings. You need to go into diagnostic cycle to get the last error code (which will not be visible to the customer during normal operation).

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint D/W strange leak
Thanks. I know its not the feet adjustment as I had it raised significantly and it still leaked. As it doesnt leak when lower spray arm is removed odds are this is the fault and I did remove it to check filters. Would I get away with just a spray arm or will it need the bush where it mounts? Thanks once again. Mark
