Ok thanks for you help bazza500. Will try and get someone to test that for me. Any advice or pitfalls i should watch out for during changing the element, is it a straight forward installation?

Sorry forgot to add that it is on 13a ring main and has been since being installed 4yrs ago. The this ring main is dedicated to the Kitchen only and only has the oven, built-in fridge and freezer on the same ring. thank you in advance for your help.

    Re: Drain pump help.

Little update. Pulled pump off and stripped(By stripped, i mean unscrewed 3 screws)it down. couldn’t find anything that shouldn’t be there. Put every thing back and seemed to be Good as new, no noise at all. Must have cleared itself. thanks again for info and advice. Great site. 😀

Re: Changing bearing on an Indesit we16uk

Took longer than i imagined, because the inner bearing had collapsed and the race was left on the drum shaft. Managed to get that off, then it was fairly plain sailing.
    Thanks again.
This site is an excellent resource. 😀

Re: need help with an indesit we16

thank helo 75 for the reply. I did think this would be the answer. I have just replaced another set of brushes today and also door handle. The question is now whether to purchase another motor in the preparation for the inevitable,or look to purchase a new machine? 😡 Any suggestions on best brands for new machines.

Indeed it was the brushes. On investigation, the brushes were worn away. Received new brushes today and fitted. Machine is now working. Thanks Jim and Hotpnt for your help. I love this site.

    thanks for the reply clive,
at least you know where to start on a dyson.I’ve had a look at the front control panel.obviously doesn’t screw off.does it just pull away from the freezer itself.maybe i should leave it to the experts.trouble is the expert i got couln’t even dignose the problem.
    thanks again
