    Re: RECYCLE OR NOT RECYCLE

Polystyrene is a nightmare, light but bulky and almost impossible to compress, it does however offer good protection to most appliances. My understanding is that polystyrene cannot be recycled in any way which is annoying when you consider how much is used. I would like to see cardboard and biodegradable bubblewrap or inflatable biodegradable polythene used more. These are available but unfortunately many companies won’t look at them, at least not for long, as they are a lot more expensive. 🙁

Don’t you just love these Manufacturer’s Weight Specs, 7.5 Kg of clothing is a big load and doubtful you or I, or anyone could get a sideways hand in at the top of the drum. (Best indication of maximum Load)
I’m not always certain that when manufacturer’s increase spin speed capability or Load weight capability that they increase the engineering specification of the machine. 1200rpm to 1600rpm? Are the bearing sizes increased? Is the drum shaft size increased? Is the motor capability increased? 😕

    Re: LG Washing Machine

Price on this appliance ranges generally in the £450 – £550 bracket, not certain on the guarantee period so I would recommend ISE, reliability and service assured 😀

Re: LG Washing Machine dispenser leaks

Had to replace one of these only yesterday, there is a modification in the design of the replacements which one would think may make little difference, little nozzles instead of holes, it works or at least it has for the time being. I suspect hard water ultimately responsible for generating fault. 🙂

Ultimately there are them that can an them that can’t, so those that can’t might want us to put it right, not always possible, our choice, leave them to get on with it. Them that can’t or may be a bit scared generally come to us, there’s quite a lot of them, let’s not be too worried 🙂

Re: spare part for fridge freezer

Not entirely sure what you’re looking for, if it’s the front panel to one of the freezer drawers or the handle. OPN for all freezer handles on this model is: 18 8930, should be four drawer model, top three front panel OPN: 35 9213, Bottom Drawer OPN: 35 9212, hope this helps 🙂

Now I know what I’m doing wrong, or do I? I work, no call out charge, No fix – No Fee, Discount to pensioners (Discretionary – Not advertised, some of them are better off than me) and yes I run around a lot, I also get enough paying work to sort the mortgage out, better than kicking the heels waiting for the phone to ring, given up reworking merlonithingy’s for resale it’s a greater waste of time. Give me a single Mum with two kids that you can sympathise with, sort the blocked discharge pipe or pump out, charge them twenty quid for ten minutes of your time and I’ll be happy with that. I go home each night with a clear conscience. 😀

Personally NO! I would investigate and suggest sensible installation, OK, I know some kitchens are small but it’s better to lose a cupboard than a life.

Penguin Steam Cleaner works a treat, heavily iced 20-30 mins, no pun on Penguin45 intended here 😆

    Re: Washing machines in bathrooms

Regulations are in place that would make the installation of a washing machine in a bathroom inexcusable, personally, it is something I would never undertake nor advise anyone to do. Potential charges of “manslaughter” through negligence spring to mind. OK, its a washing machine, electricity and water and all that, but as an appliance it is fully tested and thoroughly safety checked. Any Installation where severe outside factors come into account have to be questionable, steam causing condensation within such an installation would be very scary :zap:
