Thanks for prompt response Martin.
My colleague is a very experienced engineer and is well familiar with the six o clock reset procedure, but says that on this machine there is no spin button to activate, so what do you have to do?.

Hi Bob, Thanks for your prompt response.
Looks like the NTC is about right as it was a hot day when I last went.
I changed the pair of stats 2-3 months ago but I cant recall what the temps were. If you have the part number for the 185deg handy that would be useful, if not I will put in a part enquiry with CDSL.
Many Thanks, Mike.

Thanks John.
I think that I have successfully entered into this service programme, read the existing code as 07 (correct), stored the code without changing and exited the programme, but I still have F03.
Am I correct in assuming the the board if stuffed or is there anything else that I should consider?.
Scrapman comes in the morning.
Many Thanks,
Mike.

Hi Folks.
I am hoping that DentedPorsche is out there somewhere in the Ether, as I am following his post from 29th June 2011, which I believe relates to my problem and resetting the configuration code manually as follows:-
1. Rotate Function selector to off, disconnect oven supply.
2. Reconnect supply, push and hold option button for 5sec,alarm beeps.
3.Push option button 4 times consecutively within 8secs. Configuration code is shown in display
4.Push and hold option button for 5 secs. display will start to flash. Rotating the +/- Knob changes its value.
5.Push and hold option button for 5 secs to store it, display stops flashing.
6. Disconnect/reconnect supply to exit setup. My question is what should the configuration code be?
ie What is normal.Any assistance much appreciated, I dont really want to scrap this oven If its just a button pushing exercise as its really in quite good condition.
Regards,
Mike

Yes thats correct John, it does have a service plug thing.
Whats a SAM module? Can I assume that this job is getting out of the realm of possibility. (And nearer to the scrapheap).

Mike.

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool AKZ456/1X 8585 4561 15010 Oven.
Hi John.
Thanks for your prompt reply.
The number on the rating plate is as you say 07.
There is just two resistors in the line up in front of the transformer, these are numbered R002 and R003. There is a R001, but it is not in line and is a flat disc type, could be a thermistor or something. The third, fourth and fifth resistors in the line are not present, just line diagram of them.
I hope this helps.Regards,
Mike.

Hi folks.
I would’nt mind a response on this one, I keep tripping over the oven whenever I go into my workshop. If its destined for the great scrapheap in the sky I would like to send it soon.

ParticipantRe: Siemens Washer dryer D12.52
Thanks Martin.
I might in fact have solved this one. I went into the Connections Mediator which comes up with a list of most of the BSH e numbers. There is just about enough of the enumber on the inner door so it could be …….?20/GB/01. If I assume that ?= 5, the only washer dryer with similar numbering is WD12D520GB/01. Looking at the BSH website it looks right and as the parts I need are not too expensive I think i will take a punt.
Thanks for your interest and enjoy whats left of the Bank Holiday. (peeing with rain here).
Regards,Mike.
