Lots of production runs of this model.

Later versions will only pump if water is detected in the tub and will often fill for a few seconds when starting a spin program.

Found the following information nardi-040899009933 = gottak-7la-870627 (possibly printed on the side of the switch)

Assuming the above information is correct then ASWO have this in stock under part #H356218

Most Hotpoint/Indesit fault codes now have engineer subcodes which can only be seen when the engineer checks the module using special diagnostic software.

The F1 fault code now has 18+ subcodes which include feedback faults from internal module components as well as heater, pump, and various external sensors.

As time moves along the general F1 F2…. etc codes listed for early models are becoming less relevant on newer appliances.

Usually use a drop of light oil on the teardrop this should be absorbed into the bearing.

I have seen a number of the older square roulon bearings with grease on them. Never had a complaint.

Can’t really say what other brands are like. But Merloni Group machines seem to be the most reprogrammable and therfore internal components are easily changed in production at a whim.

For the last 8years I have only done I only done workshop work for other traders. Most are older versions (5Yr +) of Hotpoint/Indesit and Beko. I offer crazy services to small scale local traders. Sealed tank bearings, simple module repairs, used modules reprogrammed etc.

    It is confusing.

Indesit retail site only shows the white Arcadia board for this model but Dave found both Arcadia and Windy on the trade site.

In many cases I have found that ASWO just list all versions of board and software for a model and do not filter them down for the relevant industrial code. This problem also shows up on motors, wiring and interlocks which often vary during production. Its best to check these as well before ordering.

I no longer have access to the trade site but in the past have found the information much better but not always perfect.

Could the knob have cracked and slipped on the control shaft?

It’s always worth checking the type of module fitted on Hotpont/Indesit before ordering. As for the correct software, well that can be another story.
