As far as I am aware this is a drain timeout

The full list linked above is correct for early dryers fitted with EVO boards however the TCHL73 is fitted with an Arcadia control board which has a completely different set of error codes.

3h is usually the 3rd led up in which case it is an F4 error – No heat detected

The air intake fan, the circulating fan or the drum shaft could be in trouble. As Dave said the best place to start is by checking the tension pulley which squeaks or thumps depending on the type of failure.

Re: Hotpoint machine with melted door interlock

New lock is C00309745 PTC type for 40CM doors. The connection numbers depend on brand of lock supplied, usually 2,3&4 or 3,4&5 on the Bitron locks

PTC is on 2 (Bitron 3) — As Wilf notes this is the thin wire
Common is on 3 (Bitron 4)
Switch is on 4 (Bitron 5)

Re: Beko washing machine motor starts at full speed

Unlikely to be the DC board unless it has shorted and damaged the main PCB. Most likely the main PCB or tacho /wiring are at fault

Sounds much better than using a drill Martin. Have used the drill method for so many years it is second nature. (Where did I put that new rotary tool, gizmo thing? Hmmmm)

    Re: WD860G Inner Bearing.

I usually drill a couple of groves about 5mm deep behind the bearing ring then I can get a drift fully onto the ring to knock it out.

I have been unable to get that far. The password reset page will not accept my account email address.

Just waiting for them to get back to me, guess they are pretty busy.

Commonly caused by a high resistance connection between amp connector and terminal or oxidisation where the cable is crimped to the terminal. As current is drawn heat is generated, further oxidising the connection. Looks like this may have started on the right of the attached picture.

    Re: Hotpoint TCD970

Sounds like a normal capacitor fault. The motor will get quite warm if capacitor is failing.
