Depends on the motor fitted in production

    For this model
Early motor 2826520100 uses brush 371202407 (Connection tag faces down)
Late motor 2838520100 uses an unlisted brush (Connection tag faces up) which is available from ASWO – Pattern P/N #G613803.

Other models also have early and late motor versions optionally using the #G613803 type brush.

Have kept this brush in stock for quite a while now

Could it be when the customer is using the time delay option? The heater are gets pretty wet with washing left in the drum.

Had a few rentals wear through.

I usually repair hanger hole with melted offcuts from an old tub then re-drill for the spring. Reassemble with silicone grease as it’s plastic friendly.

Sorry, didn’t look for the fault on the board. Just replaced it.

    Difficult to say.

I would check for power problems, lock plug and mains filter then check the data plug on the front board.

Had a Hotpoint (same design) doing this a few weeks ago. It turned out to be a faulty display board signalling power on/off intermittently.

Never thought there would be an advatage to being short sighted. These days I just take the glasses off to do pcb work.

They tell me there’s money in muck!
You should see what I fix for the cheap local rentals trade.
Happy I’m workshop based as I wouldn’t want to see where they come from.

Sounds as if it’s not easy for the customer to open it on their own.

More jobs for the trade in the future?

C00305980 front board should not need programming. They are about £35 brand new on ebay.
If the customer is not worried about the end of program beep you could unsolder and remove the sounder from the board.

This dryer is an older one without a pump.

The foat chamber is towards the centre back of the machine inconveniently between the motor and the condenser / water bottle.

Line drawings are here – https://parts.hotpoint.co.uk/category/model_TDC32P

Check power is reaching the main board. If ok then the board has failed (often D7 in the power supply circuit)
