Re: Indesit WIA121 machine has power but nothing happens

    Thanks iadom

I will give that a go, but I would have thought it would have still filled with water ? as I said I do as normal set it to whatever program I want usually 4 or 5 or spin only, everything seems to ba as normal lights go thru the sequence then it should starts to fill up with water but nothing.

all that happens is after the sequence of lights any one of the 3 lights at the side of the dial will stay lit ? u then hear the door interlock click and nothing happens ???????? but as u say i’ll try the brushes, I will do this tomorrow and report back, if this does the trick great , thanks again

sorry iadom the reason I change machines is I enjoy doing DIY and as I dont earn alot of money in the job I have, I try to do as best I can with 2nd hand machines I work for the cleansing dept with our local council & I look out for wash, dryer machines that I think are better than the one I already have . I only just got this machine it was thrown out but looked brand new so I took it home hoping that there would not be much wrong with it , which I was hoping I could repair myself saving me money, I hope this answers your question , and would appreciate if you would remove your post as you are trying to insinuate that I work in the trade .
    thanks

I just discovered the element on this machine is at the rear of the drum can anyone help how I go about getting access to the element as there doesnt seem to be a back panel looks like a sealed back panel ???, is this a complete drum removal thru the top of the machine to gain access to the element ????
    any help much appreciated

Re: Hoover WDM 120 Motor / Armiture struggles to turn ????

I had another look at the machine the program in use at the time was a woolens wash , I changed the program to spin cycle and the same happened BUT this time I helped the big wheel at the back of the machine by turning it while the motor was trying to go into a spin & it worked but was a bit sluggish at times although once it gained speed it worked fine spun the clothes, the reason I have added to the reply is if the armiture or the motor is at fault then WHY ? did it spin all be it with a little help from myself ? I dont doubt you guys but before I purchase a motor I want to be sure . can anyone shed abit more light on the subject ?

    Thanks for the replies
