Re: Teka ADW659 F1VR02 Dishwasher cuts out on start

It’s a Smeg and E2 on these can be simply a joy to fix :rolls:

If the sump is clear then a second look at the side chamber might be worthwhile before ordering a timer. They’ve been known to clog up in the channels between the side chamber and the salt chamber – a thin brush or a sturdy pipe cleaner (or some kitchen roll wrapped round your screwdriver 😳 ) can turn up some really unpleasant results. The side chamber itself can clog up pretty bad – it can usually be flushed if it’s just the bottom section that’s blocked but if it’s clogged near the top it may need replaced as sometimes the blockage just can’t be shifted.

Other delights with these are that after you’ve tested all that it can still turn out to be the timer after all – or the motor or wiring under the door.

Do you notice the sequence that the lights were flashing in?

I don’t see that particular model listed but the 200253 & 200353 were made for them by Elica.

You could try contacting their service branch (DR Cooker Hoods) on

There’s not really anything I’d advise anyone to check for themselves; it sounds like either the clock has failed or the terminal block has fried and to investigate both of these involves opening the machine up to some degree and doing some component testing.
If it’s the clock that’s failed then you’re looking at over £120 for a new one I’m afraid.

If you do go in for a look then remember to kill the oven power supply first :zap:

Re: Schreiber AMP6321 Fridge Door Hinge Needed?

It depends which side the door is hinged on:

Top Right (Lower Left) hinge is 246009800
Top Left (Lower Right) hinge is 246009700

an email to Dave on spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk should get one sent out to you promptly.

The door lock is split by date – there’s a second number for it

697690139 for appliances purchased before 23/04/2003

697690184 for appliances purchased before 24/04/2003

Also, the old version (697690139) is no longer supplied with the microswitch so if you also need that the part number is 814490321

    Hi

The original 2200W element has now been replaced by a 1500W element (part number 806890442) and it is advised that both elements get changed at the same time even if only one is faulty to ensure an even heating performance.
So the correct power rating is now 1500W.

The issue with the oven cutting out is more likely to be caused by the thermal overload (safety stat) than the regulator stat you use to control the temperature. At this stage I’d advise getting an engineer out to examine the appliance because it’s a case of opening it up and checking components to diagnose this correctly.

    Hi

I’d guess that it’s a misprint on your label then and that the model number should be APL2422 – a white slimline extractor with a single fan?

If that’s the case then the good news is that the PCB is one of the cheapest out there at around £10 excluding VAT and P&P – an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk should be able to get you an exact price & availability. Part numer is 08086073

It sounds like your clock is stuck on auto – if you really can’t get it to come out of that mode then you may well be looking at either a wiring fault or a new clock; part number 082139700 and will cost you around £130.

Try holding the mode button in and pressing both the + and – buttons. other than that you might be as well getting someone out to look at it to see if they can reset it for you and check the wiring before considering costly spares.

The only other thing I can think for you to check is that the spray arms aren’t being obstructed. Sometimes tall or shaped plates or baking trays will stop the spray arms rotating freely and prevent the programmes from completing.
Try spinning the spray arms before you close the door to check that they’re not being impeded.

To reset you could also try:

    Press start/pause
Push prewash and delicate buttons at same time
Machine should drain and progress lights flash
    Set to programme and test

Re: smeg DF 612 SE dishwasher partial cycle

If it’s tripping your electrics then there’s an earth fault somewhere which will be caused by a broken or wet component. It’s unlikey the machine is stuck on the test program and requires a reset but if you want to give it a try first of all anyway then:

Open the door of the appliance.
Switch off the machine at the on/off button.
    Count three seconds.
Switch on the machine at the on/off button.
Rapidly press the program button four times
Switch off the machine at the on/off button.
Count three seconds. The self-test will now cancel.

I still think E3 should be for a heating error but if it’s a drainage fault then check that your drain hose hasn’t become trapped or kinked and that it’s not obstructed where it connects to your sink (or standpipe).

Other than that you’re looking at opening the machine up to check further which isn’t really a DIY job for the uninitiated.

    🙂

Re: smeg DF 612 SE dishwasher partial cycle

E3 should be a water not heating error – draining faults should come up as E6.

There’s several things could cause this: heater and thermostat are the obvious choices but the circulation motor failing or a blockage in the spray arms could also give you an E3 fault.

The spay arms are easy enough to check yourself – giving them a blast under a strong tap can usually do the trick – but the other parts require stripping the machine to varying degrees to test and for that I’d advise getting a local engineer out. Apart from the electrical hazard some parts of the machine can be razor sharp when taken apart.

Power off if you go in for a look :plug:
