Don’t get me wrong, I’m not having a go at MFI. I actually quite like them 😆 but I’m not happy that spares I was under the impression were to be FOC have appeared on my account statement 😡
I’ve also got another 4 of the things in this week alone, each one getting as a minimum a pcb so the costs are starting to add up.KW: Your spares to date will be all be getting billed today 😀

Well I don’t know about you but I’ll still be applying the markup. I’m not accepting that our account is to be used to get them parts at cost.

You should add this to the Merloni thread to further depress new Hotpoint owners.

If I remember, the water dispersal should alternate between upper & lower spray arms so you shouldn’t expect to see the water coming from everywhere at once. There’s a possibility your spray arm has a blockage – this should easily unscrew for you to check.
DentedPorsche is your man for the Whirlpool machines, though. Bump this thread when he comes online.Craig

The fan element should be available at the UKW shop. Drop Dave an email if you want one.
It’s easy to fit for someone who knows what they’re doing, it’s engineer time (try Repairs@) for someone who doesn’t.Craig

Have you checked that the fill hose isn’t kinked or crushed? A favourite is for the hose to get trapped under the back foot of the appliance.

Yup, we’ve been caught out by that as well 👿
Almost slipped by – checked my invoices and instead of the usual order numbers I would have for a genuine order found ‘Haier’ and whatever parts MFI deemed necessary to send the customer at my expense.
This is only happening for the dreaded ADP8342 as far as I’m aware, but it’s worth keeping an eye on.👿 👿 👿 Haier 👿 👿 👿

ModeratorAmanda,
It’s not necessarily your element that’s at fault. I’m afraid it could be one of several things – faulty element, motor, timer or wiring; spray arms not rotating freely (tall or shaped plates tend to block these) or it may be that the safety stat has tripped. It may be worth calling an engineer out to have a look as you may end up buying an element (part number 806890358) which won’t cure the problem.
Try Repairs@ for a local engineer.Craig

ModeratorMark,
Try conatacting MFI through the Web Links section. It’s one of their machines so they might be able to sort you out with a manual.

Paul,
The part number is 806890373.
The best place to get them is UKW 😀

ModeratorOperating a dishwasher that is plugged into the mains electricity supply while the top panel is off, or by putting your finger into a hole and pulling, is most definately not recommended.
Please do not follow this advice as it is dangerous and may result in the electrocution of yourself and/or your family.Craig
