Before doing anything turn the power off.
    Worth repeating:
    POWER OFF
If in doubt, don’t touch it.

Assuming the light sequence is as stated then it sounds like it’s on an E3 error – the machine cannot heat the water. There are 7 listed possible faults for this although it may well be that the safety stat has tripped & just needs reset. Unfortunately I can’t go into specifics on resetting this stat, but if you check back through the threads on Diplomat/Smeg dishwashers then there should be some more info there. Failing this it’s probably engineer time I’m afraid.

    Sooz.
The drawer on an 8512 just pulls out although it doesn’t seem that way! They tend to pop out with a nasty cracking sound which makes you think you’ve broken it. Pull it out until it’s fully extended and you meet resistance. Then place a hand at each side as far back as you can and start to pull firmly – it sometimes helps to give a slight up & down motion as you do this. Please note the word slight.
It really is a horrible one to get out. There’s no central button or catch to press on this particular model – you just have to give it a tug.

Just confirming that it is the same element in both machines – part number 76X3719.

Went to a tumble drier once that was at the end of a row of units. The end wooden panel was siliconed on to the side of the machine, held down from above by the worktop and blocked from below by thick floor tiles.
Customer wondered why I wasn’t even going to touch it with someone elses barge-pole.
All it was needing was the reset button pressed as well…
