    Hi timdowning thank you for the quick reply you were spot on the brushes needed replacing the machine is now working fine ,I should of checked the
    brushes but i have never known a wf to last long enough to wear the brushes out .Thanks again .

    We had the same problem a few years ago phoned whirlpool up with the
    model number and they posted two adaptors free of charge .We were
    quite suprised .

    No it starts pumping fine then the display reads program end , and
    there is still water in the machine .From pressing the start button ( with the program set to drain )to the display showing program end is less than
    30 seconds .

    Thank you for your fast reply , The machine is only 14 months old and
    has i have no expieriance of this machine i decided to pass the job over ,

    Scrap washing machines (light iron) Are worth £170 a ton at the scrap
    yards . EMR is the largest .

    The back half of the tub needs to be changed on the wma series .they
    cost £65/£70 and come complete with bearings and seal fitted .
    The reason the bearings fail on the early wma machines is because the
    drain hole between the seal and the front bearing was drilled in the wrong
    position , It was drilled after the bearing not before the bearing so any
    water that got passed the seal went through the bearing instead of escaping down the drain hole . Clear ? . The new tubs are light blue .Old
    tubs standard grey /white .
