Yes tried holding start/pause to no avail .Another puzzel with the washer ,when you rotate the program dial there is no program display except for just one 40 degree wash proberly the one she was useing when she pressed pause in the first place.

I should of mentioned even the door interlock will not

Thanks for all the replies , I am keeping the mc so i disabled the anti flood
device and the mc works fine .If it was a customers mc ,as their is no visable leak i think i would try raising the switch slightly say one or two

Hi Jess .Last time i looked at the machine the only thing i noticed was
a gate valve operated possibly by some sort of a stepper motot built into
sump .Very strange .I have seen a leak detecter on a bosch that machine had a solid base , but the Panasonic has a hole in the base like most washers.I will have a look and report back .Thanks for the reply.peeler40

Thanks Dave ,The washing machine belongs to a fellow engineer and he has offerd me the mc for £40 i am thinking if i could not repair it i may get
my money back selling it for parts on ebay . -
