    Dave,

    Prod no. is 914531126 00. The gasket is really close fitting to the block hence the feeling that it was a front off, remove job.

    Surely it’s the affordability of repairs that’s important. Used to do an awful lot of reconditioning (and enjoy it) back in the day when it was worthwhile stripping a machine down to the cabinet and rebuilding from the floor up.

    Turned out to be simply a question of resetting the machine.
    Turn control knob to spin position, press and hold spin speed rpm selector button, rotate control knob 1 click anticlockwise to drain position, machine acknowledges and turn off. Jobs a good’un!

    Usually just the foot pedal or the chassis cracked, pretty poor design. Later ones the chassis was beefed up a little.
