Although you may have ordered the correct programmed version of the board it may not actually be programmed, believe it or not! That happened to me a couple of weeks back.

Beginning to look like module! Tacho checks out, actually tried alternative motor, wiring harness between module and motor ok, nothing else left is there? This isn’t actually the reported fault, came in for drum bearings, can I really be so unlucky to have the module go down whilst it’s been in the workshop?!!

ParticipantRe: CDA Dishwasher
Hi Bill,
Thanks but my pump motor looks nothing like that I’m afraid. Mine is like an overgrown askoll drain pump motor. Never seen one like it!

Cheers, Phil,
Great tip! Assumed it was something like that but it seemed reluctant to move at first.

I have a place out in Cyprus and might be able to help depending where he is. Otherwise there are 2 forums he could try.

Thanks for reply Martin, you assume correctly.
Motor was the only other thing I could think of and brushes are fine, will check other points.

ParticipantRe: Youv’e just got to laugh
Laugh?!!! Think I’ve reached the point where it’s best to keep sharp knives out of my reach or else I’ll be slitting my wrists! Just come back from a call booked this morning where an old dear couldn’t get her washer door open on her “Electric 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Autowasher”, except when I arrived she had already had the job done by some clown that had charged just £10. Didn’t even know who I was although she admitted she had rung a few!!
And earlier on I was asked to quote over the phone to replace brushes on a Hoover machine by a youngish sounding chap whose mum had had a look for him and told him that’s what he needed. Give me strength!Phil

ParticipantRe: Scrap & Weee
If we are getting rid of an old washer after selling Mrs Smith a nice new one are we still able to take it to a bog standard scrap yard or shouldn’t it be going to a specified, approved recycling facility under WEEE rules?

ParticipantRe: Bosch Dishwasher
Bob, asolutely identical symptoms and initially felt that the pressure system etc didn’t look bad enough to be the problem. However, all cleaned out and machine is fine,so thanks guys for the replies!
