Yup, it should fit. They have used a couple of different manufacturers for the pumps over the years, but they do interchange.

This appears to be a European specification model – I can find no information immediately.

For other UK readers, this seems to be a Hotpoint/Creda machine with digital control, badged as an Ariston.

Based on our extensive experience of these appliances in the UK, I’d take a guess at no heat, but it’s no more than that.

Stop. That’s how expensive mistakes are made…….. We can’t tell you blow by blow how to repair your appliance for variety of reasons, but here are a couple of pointers.

The single most common failure on these appliances is the heater – it should have a reading of 25-50 ohms. There is no flow meter fitted – the water level is controlled by the displacement of air into a pressure operated switch. It will be attached to a skinny hose.

    Power off, of course.

Looks like you’ll have to give them a ring on Monday and pay them a couple of quid. Tel. 08709 077077.

    Thanks for the update.

Spares pricing is an ongoing contentious issue in this industry and is among the reasons that this site exists.

Try holding down the start button, then switching on. May clear it.

Heater or contol board likely candidates. There are 8 (!) versions of this machine, so pnc number would help for further info.

    Re: Caple DI414 Dish-no-washer!

Sounds like it’s underfilling – the water should fully cover the central recess of the cavity. Usually a bit of a demolition job to resolve as various hoses and air chambers need to be removed and cleaned.

Click the link below for pro help if you’re not confident with this, power off if you’re going to investigate further.

If you go with the codes, strictly speaking it means that the inlet valve isn’t working! However, the codes are notoriously unreliable, as are the elctronics themselves, so unless you know how to use a mulimeter correctly and safely, you may well be on a hiding to nothing with this one.

Pro help may well be your best option – click the link below.

Power off if you are going to investigate further.

http://www.bshappliancecare.com is the spares site. Check your model number as I can find no reference to it.

It ain’t pumping out fast enough……. Check for blockages, kinked/crushed drain hose. Remember that the pump is live as long as the machine is plugged in.

There seems to be a tradition that when all else fails we take a pop at the rotating puddle…..

Or are we being all corporate these days?
