    Re: PCB washing machine?

The 546—— number is the Merloni part number of the component. If the number on your spare pcb is the same it will swap. Failing that, use the part number to order a replacement.

In the UK there are several specialist companies which repair appliance pcbs – I don’t know about Europe though.

Drain hose off and boiling water. You may be able to melt it clear.

    Be careful, obviously.

Re: Whirlpool with green light flashing

Four flashes is no drain detected in the time allowed. If the machine doesn’t drain you may have a blockage or pump failure. If it does drain, but flashes the water level indicator may be jammed in the full position due to fat deposits. The microswitch on the back of the unit may be failing.

    Water level indicator is HERE.

The gunge in the container is the resin in the water softener unit – do not mess with it under any circumstancces.

49005261 or 97923904 or 97923714 are all programmed core boards for this one – need 31—– number to identify correctly.

What are we supposed to do here? You signally failed to answer any of the original questions or suggestions put to you, now we’re supposed to do it again?

LED 4 flashing is a motor fault. Motor, brushes, wiring, computer – take your pick.

Stay safe, power off first if you intend to deal with this yourself.

All the info was in the link. Remove the door outer panel, the kick panel, then the lower cover plate. The ribbed hose is in the front left hand corner. With the the power off, just pull the hose clear and clean. ANY obstruction will cause the water to back up and trip the flood protection float = drain pump tripped = water pumping out.

He caught it, pulled it across and dropped it on his foot for the pass. Absolutely disgraceful – gutted for the Irish, especially seeing as their Spurs striker had taken the game to extra time.

Now if those experimental extra officials had been on duty on the goal lines, it might have been different.

Because the top retaining screw is blocked by the fan.

    Re: Energy Efficiency Con

Unfortunate really. Maytag are currently subject to a class action in the US over the Neptune front loader fiasco. This is entirely based on mould, mildew and odour…. Any UK engineer reading up on the subject will laugh out loud at the complete failure of the US market to understand what they see as new technology.

If you’re used to a top loader which will use 40-50 gallons of water, doesn’t have a heater and will do the laundry to your (low) expectaions in 45 minutes, the Neptune had little chance of being appreciated, let alone understood.

If Maytag lose, those damned colonials will probably carry on destroying the planet with their water-hungry top loaders.

Good in Europe sometimes, isn’t it? We can bathe in the warm glow of “We’re doing it right” as far as energy efficiency is concerned. Where we blow it is by allowing the market to sell cheap, badly built appliances with minimal destruction cycles under the guise of “A” ratings.

“It only did 600 washes before it died, but it was AAA rated, so we were saving the planet 😥 “

Complete obllocks – the appliance hasn’t even begun to justify it’s production energy footprint. But – hey – we can re-cycle it…… back to China……… so we’re still doing the right thing……….

    Aren’t we?
