    Re: After 6pm calls

If I had another engineer I would have enough time NOT to do evening calls…………..

I do them purely to keep up with the volume of work. Bear in mind that once you refuse a chargeable customer a call, you never get them back.

Re: Where’s my NEFF thermostat reset button?

There is no reset stat on this appliance. Please read:

This refers to a Bosch version of your appliance, which shares the same controls.

    Re: help

You wiil probably find that the machine has leaked into the undertray and operated the floatswitch. This turns on the drain pump and over-rides the computer. With the power off :plug: drain the undertray to reset the switch. However, you do need to find the source of the leak.

Well done Andri – just make sure that you check that the drain coupling is clear of all obstructions – candle wax or otherwise.

Re: Problem with a Siemens SE36592SK/13 FD8203 dishwasher

    Hi Bentt,
This is a built-in SeimensBosch digital dishwasher yes, and it’s not in the UK? We have no specific information for this appliance, but it will be a variant machine to a UK spec one.

The sucking noise is almost certainly the drain pump running. The undertray of the machine may be flooded, and the float switch activated. With the power off you can drain this; however if you do find water, you still have to find the leak. The “Aquastop” fill hose will also prevent filling, however as you have already disconnected the fill hose, the stop device should have reset.

Finally, the computer board may simply not be responding (you said that you had tried the reset) and may have failed.

A few things to consider, best course may be to get some professional help. Sorry, no simple solution to this one.

Drive motor uses carbon brushes. I would start there.

    Pull the plug first. :plug:

    Benny,
Bear in mind that you have a 5 year warranty on the drum assembly. Pay Hotpoint the £90 – you will not be able to buy everything you need to do the job for that money.

Re: Hotpoint / Creda tumble dryers not heating

The only debate worth having on this is whether the differential between the operating stat’s temperature and the safety’s trigger temperature could be greater.

All the info is in the user manual, which of course the customer has read and understood 😆 .

My customers are expressly told all the reasons why they fail – blockages, interuptions, overloading, crushed vent hoses and the rest and that we will NOT guarantee their incompetence.

Besides, it’s a lovely little earner.

    RTFM, dear customer, RTFM.

    Hi Andy,
Apart from the usual failures to clean the filters, baffle and door channel is ‘cos the custards keep opening the door halfway through the cycle “to see how thet’re doing”.

Re: candy cic60 wire came off of timer unit?

Assuming that you have wired the timer exactly as per the new timer chart, the fault must lie at the other end of the wire – the newly replaced motor may be wired incorrectly?
