Check that the temperature sensor is in circuit and giving a reading in Kohms. Also check for correct positionong on new circuit board.

Pull the plug first :plug: .

    Re: After 6pm calls

This is all very well, however I can’t see myself being intact at 65 (my chiropractor loves me….) – SO – how much work can I do? 6 days, 5 evenings and Sundays are mine. With a bit of luck I have SOME time for the kids and I’ll be done by the time I’m 55. 10 years to go…….

Anyway, Simon46 has been working on a Sunday 😯 , so I’ll just get on with it my way.

    Re: Tumble dryer exhaust stats

    Simon,
4812 282 08008 is the exhaust stat for the AWZ650 (£23.18 😯 )- I’ve never needed one myself – unlikely to be a problem in itself. Heater plate ones go all the time – lots of charcoal 😀 .

1258406-10/5 is the one for the Zanussi – about £10, again, never needed one.

    Cheers,
    Chris.

    Paul,
You always have the option of the local Trading Standards or H&SE. Here we try to operate to a code of practice – safety first. It is unfortunate that the appliance has been disposed of; the likelyhood of either of the agencies being able to act on “the remains” is slim.

    Next time…………..

Go into “Search” in the header bar for this forum and type in 4638 – I think you will find two more active threads on the subject.

    Re: help

Ok, it’s a SMEG-made dishwasher, which is a bit unfortunate. Normally, faults are indicated by codes being displayed on the screen. If you have a “random” screen, no programming and strange operations taking place, it is more than likely that the computer board has failed.

At this point, you need to get pro help. The computer board will be an expensive component, so it will be in your own interest to have the diagnosis confirmed professionally.

Check repairs@ukwhitegoods.com or Directories for a UKW repairer in your area.

    Re: Gas tumble dryer faulty

Not in anyway a home repair Henry – you must get this seen to by a Corgi registered repairer. Please do not be tempted to do this yourself.

Check in Directories or Repairs@ for a suitable UKW repairer in your area, failing that the boss will soon tell us who the authorised manufacturers service agents are.

    Fazzer,
Diplomat have never made a dishwasher in their lives – they are all bought in and badged. Between us we should be able to work out who made it, then we might get nearer to the answer.

Re: Hotpoint 9524 bearing gone. Time for a new machine?

The wash is generally “A” class, spin performance will be “B”. You don’t get an “A” spin ’til you go completely loony tunes with it – and there is no point.

The actual classifications are done with standard loads, soap dosages, water softness etc. Given that your average user finds one or two programmes that work for them and then slaps in everything it’s all a bit academic really.

    Sorry, bit of cynicism there.

    Paul,
You will be able to get the fan motor. List price is £46.02 plus VAT + P&P. However as the majority of components for these machines are now obsolete, you may be sending good money after bad if something else fails in a few months time.

Re: Hotpoint 9524 bearing gone. Time for a new machine?

Pound for pound I don’t think you can beat Bosch. 2 year warranty as well. Don’t be led astray by manic spin speeds by the way – there is nothing to be gained by going over 1200rpm except increased component wear.
