ParticipantSounds like the threads are damaged. Were the screws particularly difficult to undo in the first instance?
The screws are easy enough to replace from a hardware store, not sure about the fixings in the door itself if they’re the problem – may be a manufacturers part.
Do not be tempted to use the oven without the inner glass BTW, too much heat will escape to the outer panel
Good luck,

Me!
Well, used to be, anyway, until the twins got in the way. I also did the first year NVQ plumbing only got cut off short for same reason.
Will admit didn’t do brgs @ 8m pregnant – at that point had enough difficulty walking let alone working…
Am now mending computers ‘cos they aren’t as messy…Penguin45
ParticipantOop ‘ere in’t North (Well, Leeds…) you can tell our local engineers by their bloody knuckles (Phil’s lads excepted of course). Vicious dishwasher? Indesit bearings in a crosspiece? No – just trailing along behind…………….
Mind you, Mrs P will NOT go in the van under any circumstances (See Resolutions post in General Trade)

ParticipantAlmost certainly a stuck thermostat. This a 65c normally open stat. The timer is stopped for heating until the thermostat closes the circuit and restarts it. Obviously, if it doesn’t, it stays in the heat position.
The other possibility is broken wiring in the door.
If you are unsure of your abilities, get help – you can pop your postcode up here and a UKW engineer wil pick up on it. :plug:
If you’re going to have a look yourself, pull the plug first.

ParticipantCommunication problem between display and computer. Could be dodgy connection, all the way up to blown boards.
Not an easy one – get help if you’re unsure of your abilities. Do nothing without pulling the plug first. :plug:

ParticipantRe: Next Pet Project
Are we talking about a nice Public, on-going festering sore that EVERYONE’s going to be able to see and isn’t going to go away?
If so, somethings going to happen.
Let’s get on with it.
