ParticipantRegret can’t get this one to come up on the technical information I have. Most codes on UK Electrolux machines appear as “E” then numbers, ie “E40”.
Does the fault occur as soon as you press the start button, or does the machine run for a while before the code appears?
Please advise more information and we may be able to work it out.

ParticipantMark,
That is not an entirely fair comment. There are numerous discussions about DASA throughout the Trade part of the site, ranging from the intellegent to the hysterical. The fairest thing that we can say to ChrisR is that there is a general concensus to “wait and see” how the revised and reworked DASA pans out. This is obviously taking some time (An update would be nice, DASA chaps), so really, we’re all sat waiting.Regards,

ParticipantB@gger – time to change the password!
Unfortunately it’s true………..Chris.

ParticipantMike,
Can’t find WE165 – Do you mean WE16S (Silver)?. If so, you want P/no C00064558. You can order it through “Shop@” on the site, but no-one is open until the new year.Regards,

ParticipantThere are a couple of common ones in Shop@ on the site.
Failing that DC shou;d be able to advise on Wednesday.

ParticipantNot much going to happen ’til New Year I’m afraid. Most non filling problems with these machines are caused by internal sludging of food detritus. Valve failure is also a slight possibility.
These are regrettably not solvable without professional help, so either look in the Directories section for a UKW member in your area, or pop up your postcode and someone will pick up on it.

ParticipantAs per standing post at head of forum, please supply model and serial number to give us at least a sporting chance of solving your problem.

ParticipantThere is no internal transit packing in a White Knight tumble dryer – therefore you DO have a problem. Ring for Service at the first opportunity.

ParticipantI have been enlightened by Mrs P and Dad (2 mad scientists…). Apparently if WD40’s active ingredient is a mineral oil, it will be an organic compound which will therefore be largely carbon based and will probably conduct electricity.
You all now know as much as I do……..
Chris.

ParticipantWe don’t strike things off, Charlie. If you can expand the thread, please enlighten us. This is The Rumour Mill after all!

ParticipantAs listed earlier, the machine faulting immediately is caused by any of
1) Temperature sensor failure
2) Undertray flooded (leak)
3) Uncontrolled water inletAlso, possible fault with computer board.
The only action you can take (with the machine unplugged) is to see if the undertray is flooded by leaning the machine back. This will run out any water, but doesn’t solve the problem – you still have to find the leak.
Also, press and hold the “Start” button down for 5 seconds. This may well reset the computer for you.
Apart from that, I’m afraid you’re washing up tomorrow! 🙁

ParticipantRe: Just to let you all know
John,
This is a large collection of spherical objects – apart from Bannockburn, you’ve ultimately LOST everything that you’ve tried to do, most noticeably football, rugby and the current state of the government.Just because we laid back English lack the killer punch doesn’t mean that we can’t do enough to keep you lot north of the Border in check!
Besides, why should we bother inventing stuff when we’ve got serfs to do it for us? 😀 😀
I’m not English BTW – a little bit Belgian and mostly Cornish. DC might be able to explain better, he’s with me in spirit……… :rotl:
Have a good one,

ParticipantUnfortunate that this thread is immediately getting personal – it misses the obvious, well discusssed point that – bearing in mind what has gone before, would ANY UKW member sign up to any contract based on what has gone before? No contract, no play……..
As our membership expands through the independant trade and these forums are read (new trade bods seem to go through a phase of reading everything), people are going to approach work offers rather better informed than before – so an educated membership is hardly likely to be sucked in! Trouble is, our membership here is still quite small in relation to the size of the industry, so there are a lot of potential victims still out there.
Spread the word chaps!

ParticipantFair point actually; there is nothing the matter with the appliance beyond its inappropriate location, so why not? Got to be better than sending it to the Manchester Fridge Mountain.
Not much residual value really I’m afraid, make sure you make it “Local Pickup Only” if you do “eBay” it, and good luck!

ParticipantDez,
I wonder if you have reset the digiboard from the error condition? As you know how to get into the diagnostics programme, do so and as it cycles, press buttons 2 + 4 (reading from the left) together. After a few seconds you should get “E00”. Restarting the machine should get you going again. If not, help required. Use the Directories section, or at least check with your repairer as to whether they are up to speed with this range of machines. Either way, tell them to sign up to UKW!Regards,
