If this lid is supposed to operate a gas shut off valve, you’d better make damned sure it works, or Dad’ll finish up with a wopping great griddle………

With typical Teutonic efficiency they no doubt believed that component failure was a thing of the past…..

    Cynical! Moi? You bet….

10am ’til I finish does for me. I did early starts for a while, but 8-9am didn’t work because of the school run, so that was a wasted hour and spoiled the flow of the day. Doing it the OTHER way round has exactly the same customer benefits with the advantage that AFTER work, they’re too knackered to argue about the bill!

Aha! You’re still a guest – ‘fraid you’ll have to join. Dead easy – then you can get into Shop@ as well.

Mind you, Dave’ll probably spot this when he logs on in the morning.

The pun is the lowest form of humour. Personally, I just can’t resist them! But then, I am coming at them from a lower starting point …….

Theoretically, this machine should not operate without the door locked. The lifted tracks on the timer/module are a further indication that the lock is at fault. It sits below the soap box and is vulnerable to water leakage.

If the door lock becomes “intermittent”, the computer resets itself to the start of its operating file dependent upon the timer position every time the lock faults. Turning the dial to spin causes a period of pumping, followed by tumble, distribute and a variety of short spins prior to the big spin. If the lock faults, you return the spin programme to it’s start position. Therefore, you never get to the spin sequence!

Lokring’s post is valid, the water level control is a so and so for sludging up and should be cleaned thoroughly.

I would suggest getting the lock replaced at the earliest opportunity – Dave Conway should be able to supply you one.

Whatever you do, pull the plug first.

Come on Richard, Merloni ain’t going retrain lots of Italians and send them over here to repair the rubbish they’ve built in the first place. Get them to operate a dedicated recycling plant maybe, I CAN see that!!

    South Pacific I think.

If the appliances last longer, production output will drop. People will start to get laid off, factories will begin to run at below maximum efficiency, unit cost will rise again ……….

I can just see Merloni buying into that one!

Still – You’ve got to have a dream, if you don’t have a dream, how you gonna have a dream come true!

BTW RS, if you’re thinking of Battles as a recycling plant, please don’t! It really isn’t what the legislation has in mind.

Check the Directories section for a UKW engineer in your area, or stick your postcode up and some-one will pick up on it!
