ParticipantJust been to a WD12S, constant rotation. Checked everything, all OK. Remembered about the brushes, pulled them off gave ’em a wiggle, cleaned the comm, put them back on in the reverse of their original positions – Blow me, it all works!
Nice one Tony. I presume the motor was generating some sort of electronic noise?Always something new to learn………

ParticipantMidnight. Sat here in my UKW sweater, with a jumbo sized UKW mug (You haven’t got yours yet?) full of beer, thinking “There’s a bunch of good guys out there”. 10 and a half years on my own relying solely on my wits and marginal relationships with local engineers made life interesting to say the least.
What no-one has mentioned is that we have created a community amongst us; total strangers are sharing what, a year ago, I would have considered “confidential information” and would have guarded quite zealously.
Now, I hope I contribute as willingly as everyone else to this central pool of knowledge we are building. It is incredibley reassuring to know that you can give and receive freely, with no comebacks.
Total strangers is perhaps an unfair thing to say, as, although there is only one person I know for sure on this site, we are sufficiently relaxed in each others company that it doesn’t seem to matter.
All those business difficulties you think you suffer from? There’s a whole bunch of people who are suffering the same thing.
Brilliant, bloody brilliant.
Keep it up chaps,
I hope you had a great day,

ParticipantI had the same problem – basically I started at page 1……..
It’s all there!

ParticipantTrue. A dash of fabric conditioner kills the bubbles (but don’t tell everybody).

ParticipantIsn’t there a manual reset safety stat round the back of the sump moulding on these ones? If that’s tripped you’re more likely looking at a water level problem. Just an additional thought.

ParticipantYou might just hit lucky and find a dry joint at the relay on the board. Then again, you might not…….. Luck!

ParticipantYou could try Roy Waring (North). They seem to be the specialists up this end of the country.
They’re on 0113 2877146.

ParticipantI sorted a similar problem a while back by opening out the hole and using a nut, bolt (stainless of course) and small rubber washer.
Worked a treat.

ParticipantTricity Bendix machines are Zanussi’s in disguise. This manufacturer is well known for “eccentric” programming. Cottons will generally be a straight through wash/rinse/spin prog; Easy cares tend to be wash/rinse/drain; whilst the Delicates is wash/rinse/hold. You either select the cotton spin or a separate short spin to finish the latter two programmes.
The other possibility is if you are in a new build and have coupled the machine up under the sink and not opened up the drain spigot………

ParticipantIf I remember the Building Regs correctly there is nothing to prevent appliances being put into bathrooms, provided they are hard wired, ie no plug and socket.
