As far as I’m aware, they’re the same as the Nextra codes.

My customers will buy it because I say it’s a decent machine and I’ll look after it for them. No brainer really. I’ll lose a few cheap skates (no loss, really) and a few who insist on silver, but I don’t see a problem selling them. I’ll probably sell on the 5 year warranty, with the 2 years as a fall back.

To date, I have never ever seen an Amica product in Leeds, so I can’t see much of a conflict occuring.

Shame we haven’t got the true budget option for my property customers anymore, but we can see how things are panning out in 6-9 months time.

Count the pattern of the flashes over a 15 second period to get the error code.

Re: HELP!! – Smeg DI409CA Dishwasher E6 Fault Code???

The fault code specifically means that no drop in water level is detected in the time allowed. I assume that your repairer by “signal” meant that the pump was not receiving 240v and therefore would not run. This being the case, the fault is certainly in the pcb – there are only two components involved – the drain pump motor and the pcb telling it what to do.

Prices are about correct (don’t know where you are in the country – London can be a lot dearer). To replace the pcb, he shouldn’t need to drag the machine out as it’s in the top of the door. Were you my customer, I’d be replacing the drain pump motor as well, as “good practice”.

Bear in mind that your repairer has probably already spent an hour working the problem out, his charge is pretty reasonable.

SMEGs are a bit like Ferraris – stylish with good performance mechanicals. The electrics can be a bit of a cow.

F3 – heater circuit fault. Heater may have failed (test meter needed to check for resistance) or wiring to heater may have burnt out. Both regular problems.

Power off if you intend to deal with this yourself.

Neff is a far more sensible choice. It is a better product, decent warranty as well.

UKW member Don may be able to offer you some more specific pointers in the morning.

Sorry about the HomeChoice bit – we are so un-indated with spammers and the like that the Admin/Mod team have developed very suspicious minds.

    Good luck with your choice,

    Re: Indesit WIDL126 washer/dryer

The machine simply dries against time. The thermistor sets the temperature against its programming for any given selection, then the pcb counts down. There is no humidity sensor, comparator array, temperature graduation sensors or any of the stuff that an extra £100 would have bought you.

Essentially, the dryer circuit is “dumb”.

As you say that you are of a practical bent, the following steps , may improve matters.

1/ Clean the condenser housing on the rear of the drum – a surprising amount of fluff does collect and will restrict the airflow, as well as the machines ability to condense.
2/ Split the heater box and thoroughly de-fluff the fan. This tin-plate vertical axial flow jobs are so and soes for picking up fluff and will dractically reduce the airflow through the machine.

Sorry, it’s a dog and now it’s barking. Replace at the earliest opportunity, preferrably with separates – even if you buy a compact dryer and drag it out when you need it, it will work better.

Hmm – can’t find anything on this one at all. I note that it’s still a current model from a quick Google – is there not a warranty on this?

One of my colleagues notes that this is your 18th different machine requested for assistance. I don’t know what you do to appliances in your household, but you need to ease up a bit, or buy better quality to start with. 😀

Looks like a Chinese style control panel, so that’ll be Haier or Midea then.

Put ‘chinese AND dishwasher’ into the Search facility and prepare to be appalled……

You are asking this in a professional capacity – perhaps you might like to tell us a little about Home Choice?
