Re: Siemens Vario Electronic Comon Fault Model No DA11OE13F1

I can’t advise as to the nature of your problem. The model number quoted is certainly not a UK/European one. You may be able to find diagrams on http://www.bshappliancecare.com – follow the links into the eShop programme; they may help.

Look closer. Water will leak out of the soap drawer, run round the door indent and appear to dribble out of the bottom of the door seal. A thorough clean of the drawer and its box will usually sort it.

Pumps the water through the spray arms. Slow pump = poor circulation; tablet may not dissolve.

    Re: Bosch SGS43A52 Problem

Educated guess here – heater is possible culprit, assuming that the machine had got well into its programme before the fuse popped. You say that there was ” a small amount of water” in the base. Normal water level should cover the base and be partially up the salt cap. As the machine is now not responding, we can assume that the pcb is now blown as well.

Check you purchase dates, this appliance has a two year warranty.

    Re: Hoover AL130

It’ll be the timer at fault. These machines use a motorised selector switch or “timer” to tell the computer what to do. Random running round and failure to complete are classic problems. P/no 91201337, spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get you one promptly.

The potentiometer is behind the smaller knobs and is used to select variable temperature or spin speed. I doubt that the bearing and seal kit will help you with this particular problem.

Does it heat? Can you see condensation on the door glass?

Re: Whirlpool ADG7440 dishwasher not heating

Three different versions, two different pcbs. 12nc number required to identify correct board. It’s housed in the contol panel at the top of the door. It’s an odd fault – heater is by far and away the more common failure, followed by the occasional breakage of the wiring in the door.

Re: HELP!! – Smeg DI409CA Dishwasher E6 Fault Code???

Can’t give you a straight answer to that one. If you assume that the replacement cost for a decent machine is going to be £350-£450, it’s worth considering the repair, otherwise move on. Bosch/Seimens/NEFF do a decent slimline, there is the current SMEG and maybe Lux group. Not much else I’d even consider – certainly if it’s “cheap” – be wary. There is a curse of Chinese dishwashers plaguing the place at the moment and quite frankly, I wouldn’t have one given.

Don is the retail guru – he might be able to give you some model numbers to consider.
