Top deck off, motor off the bottom, drum should pull through. If it doesn’t, protect the end of the shaft and wallop it.

As for the bearings and seals; the F+P chaps have a set of pullers for doing this job. It’s a long, deep tank, so the usual method using a hammer and a drift is awkard to say the least.

If the machine does not spin at all, there may be a deeper problem due to water escaping into the motor. You might like to have a read of the Sticky at the top of the forum and try running the diagnostics before you go much further.

There is one type of circulation motor which doesn’t use a capacitor – the “Big Askoll” type, As far as I’m aware, the Chinese don’t use these. A conventional motor would have the capacitor mounted on a bracket on the side of the motor itself. It’s either an aluminium cylinder or a white/grey plastic one.

If this doesn’t match what you can see, pice would be much appreciated – sometimes it’s a voyage of discovery for us repairers too.

It depends what you want – good or cheap? There’s no middle ground these days.

Did you read THIS ARTICLE? If flushing out the blue tubes did not solve the problem, you need to deal with the “horseshoe” hose under the machine.

The heater can only come on if the machine thinks that it is full of water.

Stay safe, power off before going underneath.

Yup, computer board – top right, front. Switching triac will have failed in the closed position. If you’re an electronics whizz you may be able to fix it, otherwise replacement is your only option.

Circulation pump is not running – if you pop the door open quickly when you hear the humming noise, you should be getting wet…

Motor could be seized, blocked or not getting the starting kick from the capacitor (most likely).

Power off if you intend to deal with this yourself.

Computer board has failed. You should replace the pump as well.
