Teamwork – he unpacked, me connect and level. I’ll take a job like that anytime – easy money. 18 machines, 9 houses, drove under 4 miles and he paid cash.

    Doesn’t get much better……

Indesit leaks……… In no particular order:

Salt cap lock ring, overflow turret nut, lower rotor support tube nut, side vent from matrix to cavity joint, circulation pump seals, drain pump inlet joint, wind blowing from the south.

Just about anything, really. Observation is the only way.

When the machine refuses to fill, (With the power off) remove the air hose to each pressure switch in turn. If you hear a click, that switch was holding in the full position, despite the machine being empty. Follow the hose…..

Through the terminals where the motor plug goes. The circuits are in pairs, ie terminals 1+2, 3+4 and 5+6.

    Re: NEFF U1721 Overheating?

    Main oven thermostat is HERE.

Fitting is an oven out job. From memory you’ll need to get the facia off to access a couple of screws for the switch end, then you’re chasing the capillary down into the oven box. Fiddly, not difficult.

    Power off first, obviously.

    Re: NEFF U1721 Overheating?

Oven thermostat will have failed in the closed position, so the the temperature is not cycling.

Post up the rest of the model number and we should be able to find you a part number.

LED1 flashing? Flood protection activated – there is water in the base, the noise you can hear is the drain pump running.

Power off, towels down, tip the machine over to one side to drain the undertray.

If it does it again, you’re playing “Find the leak”.

    Re: Electrolux premier Fan oven

    OK..

An oven thermostat of this era consists of a rotary switch unit, mounted on the oven facia. On the front of it, there is a switch block to operate any ancilliaries; ie turn the knob and you will turn on the oven fan, or the oven light, or the cooling fan, or even combinations of them. The actual thermostat is the rear part and comprise a gas capillary (Long skinny tube), ending in a bulb in the oven box. This is the actual temperature sensor. Heat in the oven expands the gas in the bulb, forces it up the capillary tube and works a pressure diaphragm in the thermostat in order to regulate the temperature.

In this instance, you will be looking at the knob marked “main oven”.

The fan circuit is separate from the element (Hence the separate switch) as it must keep running, regardless of the element cycling with temperature.

OP wants an eye-level grill. Built-under double ovens are not what is required……

Fan motor is switched by a selector on the front of the oven thermostat. These switches can fail, meaning that the the thermostat must be replaced.

Entirely possible that the fan motor has failed.

You will have to drag it out to check.

You can order door parts, I don’t think BSH supply doors complete. You can go onto http://www.bshcustomerservice.com , follow the links into spare parts and enter your full eNr number to see what is available.

Flood protection activated – the base tray under the machine probably has water in it. Drain it off and it should re-set – if it does it again, find the leak.

    I think that you should:

    1/ Shoot your kitchen fitters.
2/ Not use any “unblocker” product. They all contain bleach, which will foam like crazy. Also, there is no circulation through those bottom hoses, so the product simply wouldn’t get where it’s needed.

Strip down and clean is the only proper way.

Is there no adjustment on the feet? They usually have a quite long travel.
