the shaft at the back of the drum goes through it and if it has worn the drum will lean back and scrape the back panel

check she is cleaning filter
and not opening machine half way through program and then switching it straight off
element is hot and if there is no air flow it can over heat the stat
hense why they put a cooling down period at the end of the drying time

only thing it can be is the element or the fan motor
if you put on the fan oven with no heat and it doesn`t trip it must be the element

run a hair dryer around the door seal to warm it up (carefull as too much heat will melt plastics) then shut door and leave for half an hour ! then give it a try
