ParticipantRe: Panasonic NA-140VG4 undocumented error code?
That’s great, thanks very much Bob. I’ll open it up (again – after the pipe came off the seal drain 6 months from new!) and take a look.
Appreciate the help.

ParticipantRe: Ariston AVL 120 working out error code..
Great, thanks, I will check it out – though if it was the thermistor I would expect to see the abort happen on the fill/heat cycle rather than the empty before spin ?
Oh and re the piece of junk,
a) it was bought before I discovered this forum
b) I did just buy a SEBO vacuum since I discovered this forum (and yes it is a seriously quality piece of kit!)polarity
ParticipantRe: Ariston AVL 120 working out error code..
Thanks, the bottom 2 of the right hand column are flashing making 24 – but the list here http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/help/fix- … codes.html only goes to 16 ?

ParticipantRe: Chest Freezer as Fridge VT9 or VXO ?
Ok so I put 4 turns CW on each screw, that seems to have brought it up to +2/+5 but I will see after it settles down a bit! Looks like the close screw on the left (with spindle up) seems to be the compressor off and the one on the RHS the on. Though that could be wrong!

ParticipantRe: Chest Freezer as Fridge VT9 or VXO ?
Installed the VP4 (a real Ranco one!), and it does a great job of keeping it between -5 and -3 even at it’s warmest setting .
There are 2 screws on the unit one close and one recessed – these look like they are adjusters but cant find any information on them? I placed the cap back in exactly the same place as the freezer stat.
Thanks for your help!polarity

ParticipantRe: Fridge seal in the dishwasher?
Since no one seemed to know I eventually found out that the plastic used for fridge seals is only stable to about 65 degs, so the likelihood of it being trashed in a 50deg dishwash was pretty high.
Did it the hard way and several hours later it looked great and went back on nice and easily

ParticipantRe: “New” Diplomat ADP8322 Noise
Thanks
Yes I saw that article, I only bought it as research showed it was a badged Whirlpool product, not the later lower quality items… A bit grim if it fails after a dozen uses!
Anyway, upon closer inspection it seemed that the filter was not properly engaged in position and so had let debri through into the arms, I cleaned everything out and a short program seems Ok. Will do a longer test later.
cheers!

ParticipantRe: Integrated kitchen fit out Pt IV – Double Oven
Really like the spec of the Electrolux EOD68043 – does everything I want and has the same facilities in both ovens which seems to be quite rare. There is probably an identical AEG version as well!
Cheers!

ParticipantRe: Integrated kitchen fit out Pt IV – Double Oven
Thanks for all your time and help Don
If we have to trim the budget for the oven a bit, as an alternative to coming down on the features, what would you suggest as the next brand down ?

ParticipantRe: Integrated kitchen fit out Pt II – Drawer Fridge /Pt III
Ahh yes, but it is a kitchen after all, lets not bring logic in to it or we will all be out of a job! 😯
The tall space is reserved for the freezer mentioned in Pt I
The Hotpoint it is then! Thanks !
Next ..Pt III : Integrated Milk and Beer Fridge (different part of the Kitchen), rather not spend too much money on this one as it will literally be for milk and beer. Though an ice compartment would be usefull for making cubes.
Any suggestions I have seen a few they all look the same with different price tags!Cheers !

ParticipantRe: Integrated kitchen fit out Pt I – Tall freezer
Thanks for your help kwatt
Thats good news about the service on the Liebherr – incedentally why cant everyone’s web site be so simple ? They are a massive diverse group but within 15 seconds I was looking at all the info on that freezer!
Having said that we have more of a mid-range sort of budget so if the Electrolux is OK will probably go with that.
