    Re: bl**dy banks

I made the mistake of using the ‘cheques only’ post box in the bank because there was a large queue i.e. two cheques,a paying in slip, in an envelope. It wasn’t until I got my bank statement that I found the discrepancy-they’ve lost my cheque and didn’t evev notify me about it.I wont use that service again and also recommend that others dont .One cheque was for £25 and one for £300-guess which one they lost.Theyre denying everything-so its back to the customer to try and trace it.Swines..

Thanks but Ive tested the start switch, door microswitches, and the timer although some of the wire colours were different than those indicated on the diagram(yellow instead of grey(F4) for the pump circuit-I couldnt figure where this went as the pump wires were grey and blue)Test for pump was F3 to F4 on the timer. As its an awkward built-in I was really trying to find out what spares situation was like on these machines before I committed myself further.

Heater and fan working ok so clothes in drum just getting hot and steam building up till it escapes up the Soap dispenser, drum tumbles merrily on.Wouldnt have thought thermal fuse or thermistor affects the condenser water valve circuitry,or does the thermistor affect when water is allowed into the condenser( ie the valve isnt on all the time as in the old machines with clockwork circuitry)and only switches the valve on when the required temp is detected?I hope it is the thermistor ,it’ll save me dismantling the kitchen.

Rang the customer back who said it was DE not BE -this seems to be an interlock problem. How often do we get the wrong info from a phonecall? Thanks for the feedback.

Re: Why “pull the plug” ?

With wires disappearing under and into cupboards its easy to disconnect the wrong appliance-so its better to double check.I was a victim 10 years ago,the sensation of 240volts across my chest and flesh burning will never leave me.Luckily there was someone in the room to switch the mains off,I dread to think what would have happened if he had not been there.I’d unplugged the fridge by mistake in a maze of wires and extensions, but I could have checked if the washer I was working on switched on and off.So double check.

Has anyone used this site for mp3 downloads
    http://www.allofmp3.com
Theyve got a huge selection which can be downloaded in whatever format you want including I-pod(AAC).Prices are a fraction of I-tunes.Only snag seems to be that its in Russia, you have to put money into an account from your credit card.
