Module I tried was an exchange one from emw,its rare to have the same fault with two different modules.Is this module interchangeable with the Hotpoint Wma version even though that has a digital display?

Bloody hell! Got another of these babies this time Diplomat ADP 8502 ,Reset it -started ok,filled started wash program,stopped -first three lights flashing plus light no.5.Are these prone to board faults? These machines seem fit for the swap and change brigade i.e. fit new board -oh look it works – crap jobs for proper engineers trying to diagnose faults.

Squeeze the edge connectors on the module sometimes one isnt connecting – I had one not spinning after fitting a new module and ‘putting the squeeze on’ solved it.

Just fitted a new module on this c/w this device – the old one had a no heat fault.Theres a stat at the bottom as well under the heater is this just a cut out? Just trying to add to my knowledge which is rather meagre on dishwashers.

A few years ago I went to a fridge that wasnt getting cold although the compressor was running.Where the freezer box should have been was a cut off pipe.It turned out he’d bought a small chest freezer and because he didnt need the one in the fridge he’d cut it out so he could get more beer in and then wondered why it didnt work-idiot!

Thanks Martin but tried that.Went back today with new interlock and motor harness.Circuit tested heater, stat,p/switch.Came to the conclusion that it was the programme switch-ber.Another junk m/c-I should have known better.Friend I got the tub from was boasting last week that he’d bought ten of these 6th sense m/cs for recons when he tested them 8 were timer faults-he scrapped them for bits.I’ve had a few of these late model w/pools with timer faults lately even more than Hotperloni and Servis junk so perhaps they deserve to join them on the scrapheap.

If you like good old ‘meat and potatoes’ rock a la early Sabbath and Zeppelin check out Wolfmother.Put the cd in the slot ,turn vol to maximum.Wakes up an old bugger like me-just ready to rip into those built in dishwashers-not!

Had this fault-sent module to EMW who said faulty interlock had damaged the module , they repaired the module which I fitted with a new interlock.Cured the fault.

Thanks boys I think we’ll try the CDA number and see how the customer stands-the previous owner of the house left no documents and has gone abroad.Strange in 30 years I’d never seen a Siltal until a month ago and now this is the second- they just seem to be badged up appliances in fancy kitchens ,I’m getting a lot more of these oddballs these days.

Eventually sorted this one out.Hole in the sump hose was in the bellows so with careful surgery and a short piece of plastic pipe cut the new hose and then joined it to the old hose just above the bellows.Saved me taking the tank out ,the customer wasnt prepared to pay for that.
Hose was £16.44 from a firm called JTM Contracts Tel.0870 7749202.I first phoned service no. on booklet.That was directed to a premium rate no(019etc)-which turned out to be Anglo Iberian who directed me to another premium rate no. for spares but the part and invoice came from Jtm.Hope this helps might save somebody trawling about for Essentials spares.
