I should add that I suspected PCB because main power button on machine won’t turn off. If I isolate power and then switch back on I can then select various programmes and as stated before machine then runs ok but doesn’t heat.

Thanks Martin, I’ll try heater first. Getting dishwasher out is quite a faff!

Sorry you did already mention lid gasket! I have just started machine and without any powder/cleaner added it does appear to be foaming quite a lot.

Many thanks for the quick response. Do you mean the gasket in the lid of the dispenser?

Re: AEG 65050 Vl – Intermittently not cleaning/drying proper

    Thanks Guys,

The ‘black pepper’ description describes perfectly the residue left in the dishwasher – but not every time though!

Have checked inlet filter and that is clear. Filters in bottom of machine also clear.

Sometimes get the error message – .10 and the fill inddicator is continuosly illuminated.

Don’t think the element is at fault as sometimes o/k.

I am an electrician and also carry out repairs to most ovens.

Is it a possible repair that I could undertake.

    Many Thanks

Re: Diplomat fan oven slow to heat up

Most fans spin very rapidly – suggest removing back panel to get a better look. Slow spinning fan will result in poor performance. At same time you can inspect element for signs of deteriation.

Or consider changing 30a fuse/mcb in consumer unit to 16a fuse/mcb

Re: Diplomat fan oven slow to heat up

Is the fan in the main oven running? Often customers are not aware that the fan has ceased to function and relying on the element alone will cause the oven to heat very slowly.
