ParticipantRe: Noisy Beer fridge
I took everything off the back and noticed that between the fan and the motor there is a collar that wasn’t sitting flush. I pushed it into place and its stopped the rattling. 🙂

The MC2028HXKB should have a 5 yr warranty. Get it sorted.

Where is the thermostat located normally?
Is it easy to remove as I can’t afford to call an engineer out so I thought I’d take the thermostat out and see if I can get one from the local spares shop.

There’s no ENR number on the barcode sticker but there is inside the fridge and it has worn away. Will try and dig out the booklet to see if its on there.

Is the model number printed elsewhere? There’s a sticker on the side with a barcode and a set of numbers if thats any use?

Exactly as you said. One of the brushes had obviously burnt out and both are worn down to near the brass. Just ordered some new ones so should be up and running in a few days. Many thanks.

I’ve taken the motor out and not sure how to get the brushes out. I take it I don’t have to take the whole of the end of the motor off ?
There’s a spade connector on each brush which I can remove. But how do I get the brush out? Are there any push in tabs etc? The motor is a 3047807AA4 18A6765-0HB 230/240 50HZ.Sati

Could that mean that the belt has broken? Or could it be that the motor is knackered completely? Its not spinning at all at any stage of a cycle.

Got a new heating element and changed it. Worked fine after that. Very easy to do as well.
Thanks for advice.
