Sounds like the circulation pump motor is fried (no splashing water on the heater through the sprayarms). Or the start capacitor has failed. Unplug power if you are going to have a look yourself.

Good. It will nearly rule out a stripped “gearbox” that is a motor driven water pistol pointing to the different compartments. A drop in watermains pressure gave me a problem 3 wks ago as well. toothbrush clean to remove mould from detergent drawer roof sounds good. Get a bristle into the fine holes as well.

Yeah cust paid 700 quid for it. The job before that i was admiring one thinking that is a nice bit of kit sat next to a old Neff fridge freezer integrated with broken freezer door i was quoting on. Then see two in one day. A weird week so far. still not as weird as the lady with hoover washer dryer seized fan motor was telling me that she had just had a huge central heating flood which sunk next doors garden. The reason. WWII unexploded bomb underground :eeek:

Can you not see where the spring ends have marked/cut into plastic on handle? This should give some idea.

Sounds like something has got wet or dislodged. Was it a house move ie washer tipped on side without transit bolts refitted to stop the drum from colliding with the internal components?
