    Just been to job, wash pump appears free. However it transpires that cust “had a look” at the buttons because the actuators had broken off the module. What it looks like that something is now short cct so when the wash pump was activated after filling, board reset back to beginning hence the 2 clicks of the relay contact opening and closing and display going off and on. Wife was in kitchen, so husband said dishwasher was like this before he looked at the buttons!

    Have had one where a coin put a hairline crack in the pump housing.

    Have had pump failing to start intermittently(hard water scale in rotor chamber). Armature went up in smoke eventually.Think it was a wm11.

    Thanks Shane. Got a feeling wrong knob has been fitted by cust or is upside down/slipped broken etc.

    Sit next to fridge for 5 minutes with peace and quiet. Listen for any clicking sounds i.e. 2 within 30 seconds or 1 click within five minutes.

    Rang electicspares.com. Very helpful. Knobs on way @ £2.41 ea plus £3.50 carriage. Do Unidare, Dimplex, Berry spares.
