Thanks for the help . Much appreciated. One last thing ,looking at a new fan element and side oven elements. The fan oven seems to have two versions 2 turn and 3 turn and I believe twice versions of the side oven main top element

Hi dave , thanks for the assistance , If you could advise what elements i would need for the below ovens :- ELE part numbers would be great if possible .

Hotpoint dd2 540 IX IC W61022950000 top grill element

AEG BEK 351010M PNC 944 187 909 00 Dual oven element and fan element.

I cant believe that there is no way to reference the parts on SF to the others. Is there not an Electruepart site or catalogue?? it seems odd that they sell them but cannot advise of the fit.

    Any help appreciated

    Regards

Thanks for that , the oven is the /02 model. I will check the element when i go to site. it seems this oven has various settings so will get her to check if the fan oven element is failed then could be the culprit. Co incidentally it was the oven cleaner whos called me in.

    LoL

Thanks for that Dave your a lifesaver , they have sent me a video showing the door remains as three sides , so that looks like the top rail fits into the rails bonded to the front glass. it looks like the hinges must still be intact as the door swings, so could be just the front glass they need, the back glass somehow was undamaged. The only thing i am wondering is if there would have been any loose plastic clips to hold the inner glass in the frame at the bottom , as i cant tell from the picture.

    Thanks again,

    Nick

Apparently Don , I am not worthy of access to the secret trade area as I do not run an appliance repair business. Time served qualified electrician of 28 years experience is not enough apparently. Oh well will have to still keep asking my stupid questions on here :p:p:p

Also the client has just told me no issues with burning food, never knew it even had a door lock lol and has just told me the oven was very noisy before it stopped working ?? That to me sounds like the fan ? Could that cause the over temperature if the fan has stopped working ?
Just trying to get ideas as i want to go and fix it and not faff about.
