    Re: Qualtex

Been dealing with both companies for many years and understand all of that. Even their own staff throw their hands in the air

Reckon we are all getting hacked off with both Connect and Qualtex for doing this.
More and more we are seeing prices which include VAT and Delivery significantly cheaper that the prices being given to trade customers. In fact we are buying more from these sister sites than we are placing with our trade accounts

Thanks Martin, to be honest its another engineer who has fitted this part and he seems to think that it operates normally on the other wash cycles. He is due to return to investigate further on that point. Thanks

another possibility is that inside the sump the plastic pump cover is detached or missing. These pumps will not function without it in place, worth a check

Re: RangeMaster Toledo 90 Manual ?

Thanks Lawrence, I managed to get hold of the Manual using the details that I had to hand. Your right that the manual covers little but it does cover the strip down of the Facia Panel and Switch gear and as it happens it saved me some time.

As in this case nothing got done and they still have been unable to get the product repaired aa no small business would be able to meet their criteria.

    Re: Red tape gone mad!

We have had this several times, only last week a local company brought a Numatic Henry for repair to our premises. We accepted in, traced the fault and then phoned the company with an estimate, they wanted a email address to they said to said over order. What followed was a four page questionaire including a full Risk Assesment, which bearing in mind this work was being done on our premises, if we had had any insurance claims in the last three years, in Fact it would have taken a considerable period of time to complete this all for a low cost repair.

The upshot was that we told them to come and collect it as we were not prepared to complete their forms. its Red Tape, Imagine if having served these forms on us that we then served the same on them. Nothing would ever get done !

This is why we never used this service, not only could they send out promotional material to your customers they then have the ability to build a database.

    Re: BT compensation claim

We had a situation last year where some pikeys decided to cut through a main cable near an exchange. The result of this was that we lost three phone lines, PDQ affected, Loss of Broadband, which put us in the position of not be able to take calls from Customers for three days, could not process card payments and could not look spares up or order them. Many customers thought we had stopped trading and while this was no fault of BT the damage was so severe that they estimated it would take up to two weeks to get the repairs done.

Obviously by that time we would have suffered severe loss of trading and were pretty much helpless. I could’nt get very far with BT initially but then I started to complain very loudly on their Facebook Pages and Twitter. That brought forth a response which surprised me. Once they accessed the whole situation with my help 😉 they then helped me as follows.

    1. They got a special PDQ wireless terminal that worked via the mobile phone network so we could resume Card Payments.
    2. They sent us three mobile phones and had our landlines diverted to them which allowed full communication with our customers.
    3. They sent us a mobile 4g Broadband Modem and wireless dongles for our computers so we could access email, suppliers and customers.
    4. They then paid us compensation of several hundred pounds.

All in All they were very good and although it was hassle get this all setup what more could they have done or what more were they actually liable to do ?

If I were you I would try and plead your case much further £ 50 in this instance is not satisfactory and you will need to sit down and work out the days your phone line was not working, you might want to look at a couple of previous trading periods and work out a average or rough average which might then bring you to a better bargaining position. I wish you luck but you need to make them realise that you have lost business due to their failure which cannot be fair and that you feel reasonable compensation is due to your business one way or another.

    Re: Matsui MTT1W

No there is no PCB only a electro mechanical timer and heap of wiring. I think that the wiring has been messed with but really need a wiring chart.

    Anyone ?
