White UK citizen born in the UK, forget it.
So, if you happen to be a one-armed, gay South African (or any other nation bar the UK) then you’re laughing, no problem to get funding to do just about anything. Sad that now, instead of perhaps discriminating against small ethnic minorities (which I’m sure still goes on sadly) we now seem to discriminate against our own citizens as well.

first i would like to apologise i didnt come to the meeting. totally overrun.
anyway, i have to say here that you sound like your a victim of media spin mate. there are scroungers of every background and ethnicity.
but then again i may be unqualified to comment on this subject, cos i am not aWhite UK citizen
but a uk citizen by birth.
I have also tried to get funding, and one organization i tried to get a grant off has paperwork that says ‘please specify your ethnicity’. “Now hold on a sec?” I said to the consultant, i”t shouldnt be important. im a human. thats all that matters.”
i refused to reveal my ethnicity on the paperwork in the end, as it was for a grant, and is totally inappropriate imo.

Would you not call me a hardworking national? i was born here but am an african by origin. Also, your last comment, arent we all immigrants whether by choice or by force?
As uk citizens, when we have bad time financially or otherwise, we tend to pass the blame on to anyone else.
i am all for a people standing up and tackling issues but remember, its not what you do its the way that you do it. 😉
also, out of curiosity what does this mean?
(or any other nation bar the UK)
