if fan not coming on then i would say you better off calling a engineer as it seems you have a number of faults. all relating to icing up

have you pushed the light switch button with the door open to see if fan comes on,push light switch wait for twenty seconds and fan should come on

i would say likely to be defrost sensor and change thermal fuse, in most repairs i do if defrost heater faulty its the opposite you get no ice on evap as the pcb is usually waiting for heater to come on and because not working will sit in and wait for temp to raise until time to switch back on this can take hours so acts as if heater is working and does defrost eventuallyRe: Scandinove Fridge Freezer
how old is appliance
if old may be insulation on bottom of appliance has failed,
you will be able to tell just by pressing the bottom of appliance and it will be soft (very)

have you changed the light bulb recently,
there are a lot of times when the light stays on even if door shut, you will notice a burn mark on the cover of light, this will also burn the plastic and you get that horrible smell.

might even be defrost timer, i get a lot faulty,
check to see if noise is coming from around near the compressor.
more likley its just the gas, they seem to moan and groan a lot more with the newer r600a gas, (you will just have to but up with it)

hi just thought i would add my say
i found comet to only tell customer samsung only carry one year so they can sell extra insurance and i agree that i would say comet engineer wanted a early finish.
i also work for samsung and they will fix every thing no matter of cost (2 yr warranty)
