Think that thread has been put to bed now a?! Good job by the way! Both you & John posted really well, and I think you might even have a fan in ‘quickwash’ 😆
I think as far as other readers are concerned, I think they will respect ISE for the openness given in that thread! I mean… Try get open conversation with Miele Directors as and when prompted by one of their customers, in public!
So all in all… Good Job!

Hopefully, it wont come to that 🙂

My guess is, there are some engineers that might be able to make the rates & terms pay if doing very small volumes, tight areas, don’t employ staff & do not run an office for their clients… And others that, well, lets just say would ‘Make’ it pay, which I’m not prepared to do!

I agree! The responses by Ken & John are very good, polite, to the point and accurate.
Just stay out of that thread at 1AM Ken after a few JD’s 😆

I am out of notice. I am out of the 2 week ‘Goodwill’ extension I offered Repaircare. I didn’t expect any jobs on Monday, as I thought the new guy would have been set up ready to go, knowing that Repaircare KNEW Friday 12th November was the final day of the 2 week extension.
I had a call from Repaircare on Tuesday, stating that the new guy would be set up Tuesday next week, and will I support them until then. I agreed. After all, I have no issues with Repaircare, it’s only the DSG work I don’t want at the rates & Terms currently on offer, and my COMPLETE termination with Repaircare was only because of the ‘Stranglehold’ they placed on me… Refuse the DSG rates, lose the lot. If I could have chosen to say no to the DSG rates, without losing the good stuff, I would have, without a second thought!
I will however confirm, that the ‘Prime’ contracts such as Caple, Rangemaster, Prima etc are getting the same good service I’ve always given, DSG customers, are now fitted in as and when. If it’s a week, it’s a week! I have other interests & plans that I want to pursue going forward, so I’m just hoping the new guy does in fact sign up next Tuesday, or we’re in a dilemma to say the least!

Hi Rob,
We decided some time ago not to produce van signage as we didn’t know the demand.
I’ll email you the WTA Logo so you can use however you want…

The plug is in and out of the socket like a fiddlers elbow, then 😯 oops :zap:The only shock I’ve had was a few years back. I was on a Servis Quartz. Plug lead up through a small hole in the worktop, and plugged in above.
Very similar to bagmans experience… I’d unplugged, was working away when the lady asked if I wanted a cuppa… I said yeah, and she plugged the washer in by mistake thinking it was the kettle plug!
It hurt, and if I recall correctly, I swore a bit!
I’ve since dealt with the risk, by being SUPER paranoid about the plug! If I ever see an install like that, I remove the fuse 8) Aint getting caught like that again! Other than that, it is simply a case of staying switched on, so to speak 🙂

The guy that rang in made a point of quoting the ‘Certain Korean Manufacturer’ line which made me chuckle!

Well I went in on Monday, to 0, yes… ZERO new calls, which is not right as usually 15-25 come in from RC on the weekend. Then by 12 Monday, I’m EASILY up to 45-50 new jobs in Awaiting Schedule MINIMUM.
But ZERO Monday at 5PM so I think… Hey ho, new lad is on board………
Until, NUMEROUS calls come in today, asking if they can ‘Transfer’ jobs, my skill sets, my area… I ask ‘Why are you asking, just transfer’?… Replies have been anything between… ”It’s gone in to Test account, to I dunno”…! Anyways, I’ve accepted 28 today, and Friday is last day of ‘Goodwill’!
Me thinks new boy might have had a weeeeee shock yesterday? 😆

BlockedRe: TESCO TV ?
I was contacted also about my local store, TV screens are in the cafe area, but they are muted!
The garage next door didn’t renew with them last year, says it was a waste of time.
I did pay for cards once to be presented by the checkouts in like a local business promotion board, thought it would be a winner… To my suprise, I can’t recall it ever generating anything (All Chargeable calls are logged with the source when booking), so I didn’t renew 🙁
