Im going to stand with Pat-UK on this one. I have been on Yell.com for about 8mths and I have recieved 3 Jobs, 1 was a completed and economical repair! 😥 However, I put a FREE listing into the Yellow Pages, and I have had 6 already and the book has only been out in S.Wales for 2.5mths. 🙂
Unlike leavemetogetonwithit, I have a huge area, Cardiff, Swansea, Newport…………..Nearly all of the lower half of S.Wales, so I should be getting 10-20 Jobs per week out of that type of advertising, but I’m not. 😡 , In my experience, if anyone is looking to invest in Yell.com, I’d say,…………Use that money and get 5000 A5 Flyers printed and get them through peoples doors over a 3Mth period……………..The work that comes in is phenominal 😀 ! In November, I had an invoice for £398inc VAT for 5000 flyers, up untill now, i’ve probably made about 2G’s back…………….. So, Yell.com………NO!
As for UKW Banner advertising, I’d have to agree and I would willingly contribute to a banner as like R600 said, It would be good for the public to have 1 port of call for an engineer nationwide. (Oh, and repairs@ is a bloody good deal…..thanks guys!) 😀

I’ve had this a few times, double figures easy over the past 12mths, I’ve always changed the module (and eeprom if the one on the original is soldered) and have not had one come back to bite me on the ass yet 😀

Got to be the OOB (out of balance) surely? If it spins every atempt with an empty load and there are no fault codes, that indicates the compnents are all working fine………maybe dodgy motor………reading unbalanced load everytime there is something in the drum even tho the load maybe perfectly ok? I would have to try another motor personally……..very odd, I look forward to reading the cure!
