Got to be Tom Tom!! we have 3….. no probs, we also have 1 Navman…… takes you all over the place! Our Engineers wouldn’t be without them now, and just think…… if you take away the time it takes to navigate with a map….. thats another job or 2 you could get in 😀 !
CAUTION though…… when you park the van, take the holder out with you……. had a window popped in November (Transit connect £200), glove box opened, satnav and mobile gone… 👿 . Thieves look only for the holders because they know that there is probably a satnav in the glovebox.
Now, all the engineers leave the glovebox open when they lock the van to go into a job….. hopefully wont happen again if they can see an empty glovebox 💡 .
Back to the original question though……… Marvelous items! 😀

Re: Connect next day delivery? Am I just unlucky?
Most of our spares come from CDSL, and while they offer next day, i have had a couple of deliveries late. It turned out to be DHL 😕 . After having half of a delivery arriving one day and the other half arriving the next, I questioned the driver, his response was……….. I dunno mate, the boys in the depot sometimes leave stuff there if there aint enough space on the loading bay. If you need the stuff urgently, phone the depot and you could probably go and pick it up……. see you tomorrow……. :rolls: !
Hmmmmm! CDSL do honour their promises, if the order is placed by 3PM, it goes…….its the couriers we may need to look at, after this particular event happened, i contacted CDSL logistics/accounts dept and arranged for deliveries to arrive via UPS and guess what…… Never any probs 😀 . (untill they changed it back to DHL… back to damaged boxes and late deliveries 🙁 )!

I’m not really interested in elements though, (theyre cheap enough anyway), what about motors? or Servis PCBs?

We have 2 of them, when the others need replcing, will replace them with connects…… excellent load space and cab is fantastic. We have just replaced front tyres on 1, it has done 22K. TDCI so fuel consumption is great…… its a 10/10 for me 🙂

Re: British Gas To Drop Appliance Servicing?
I don’t think they are dropping appliance servicing……..as a very good friend of mine has been working from home now for 3 months…….putting all of the info off partfinder, tds etc onto a home made style British Gas database for parts id in the field. He is expected to be doing this untill at least the end of Sept before going back on the road (literally copying and pasting)!. Not the actions of a company thats contemplating dropping the white goods.

Aii! I would say it’s a gas problem, would explain why the compressor is running constantly…………the fridge/freezer temp sensors are prob fine……..sensing it’s too warm, and if there is no gas in the system, it’ll never get cold! but please dont take that as gospel 😕
