Re: the end of organic results ?

It may still be free but they are increasing the amount of paid ads that are shown in the search results. Google places was great but that has been replaced with Google +. The map with pin points of local business don’t always come up in search results.
Had a call from a Google adwords rep who told me I should be biding atleast 50p per click and spending around £15/day. I told him there was no way I was spending £5500 a year just for Adwords.
Comeback Mr Yellow pages rep in your nice new BMW all is forgiven.
Has anyone tried Facebook? there seems a lot of buisnesses advertising on the selling pages. I would give it a go but feel I would be swamped with messages from people wanting something for nothing.
I was also put of facebook after I contacted a plasterer from a selling page. he turned up 7hrs late then threatened to ‘kick my f**king head in’ because I turned him away.

Re: the end of organic results ?

I’ve spent the last 12 months just using Google for my advertising. My workload is slowly reducing. I have started readvertising in the Yellow Pages and Thompson Local.
Someone needs to come up with a better alternative to Google, they have to much of a Monopoly.

It wasn’t the top of the machine, what you missed is that he had unplumbed the machine then turned it upside down. I have tried this technique on many ocassions but each time the repair was unsucessful. The drum would smash into the timer when I turned it the right way around;-)

I was going to hammer a 6inch nail through the roof to make a hole, then wrap sellotape around the cable to act as a gromit. Thats how I fitted my satellite dish 🙂

Masterpart don’t seem that interested in trade customers, for the last 2 months they have been out of stock of the most common fan element going. The website has lost all the technical info, if you search a model number it comes up blank.
Has anybody invested in one of those 3d printers, prints out your own parts, it’s the future.

    Re: Smeg A1.5 selector switch

The switch fitted has 11 terminals where as 811730195 has just 9.
Does anybody know where I can get the part number for the selector switch.

Waisted 2 1/2 hrs today on these crap horse shoe elements.
I have fitted 2 EGO versions only to see a firework display as soon as I pick up my toolbox.
3 elements to fix one cooker and you can be sure the customer will be on the phone before the 6 months guarantee is up.
The frustrating part is that I know exactly why they are blowing, too many Watts per inch.

    Re: Nickel piggy back terminals

    FYI
After some investigation found out this company supplied KE.

    http://www.klauke.co.uk/

The Nickle silver piggy back (200oC)are now obsolete.
The company can provide a tinned brass version of the piggybacks which are rated at 110oC.

They also sell the nickle silver straight terminals with piggyback, in reels of 1500.

    Happy days.
